You can see that Restigouche Retired Teachers can still model their best students as they listened and learned from Lawyer Marie-Lyne St. Laurent. They seemed to be naturally drawn to the topic: What you need to know about Wills and Powers of Attorney. It was very informative
GMART Soup Fest – February 2026
A record 89 members joined us at Holy Family Church for our annual Soup Fest! We enjoyed 12 homemade soups, rolls & treats, plus a short meeting and AGM reminder. Bill Agnew, won $160 in 50/50! Our bursary fund now stands at $1,340 —nearly enough for 4 grads in June!
Central Branch Retired Teachers Quilters Group
Started in the early 1970s as a Craft & Conversation group, the quilters now meet Mondays & Thursdays. Funds raised support 4 annual $500 scholarships at Hayes HS. All quilters welcome at Johnson Ave Senior Centre

The Bathurst Branch of the NBSRT met on October 14, 2025 for a business meeting. As part of our continuing 50 for 50 Years Project, socks were collected for the unhoused living in the Bathurst region.

CONNECT Program – Older Adults
St. Thomas University & the University of Manitoba invite older adults to join a 6-week CONNECT program by phone (90 min/week). Learn practical strategies to manage loneliness, social isolation, anxiety & depression right from home.
We hosted our Christmas/Holiday dinner at the Father Dan Bohan Centre with 135 GMART members (117 in 2024, 113 in 2023, 79 in 2022). Happy retired teachers living life big! 50/50 winner: Mollie Legere ($335). Our bursary fund is now $1030 toward $500 grads’ bursaries.

Annual Wine and Cheese at Camp Centennial. GMART’s 4th year, with 94 attendees — the largest yet.
The $130 50/50 was won by Anna Peters. GMART raises funds to award $500 bursaries to Anglophone East Graduates
