Texas Democrats aren’t running away from anything. They’re fighting, with every tool they have, to save our democracy.
Kudos to each and every one of them for taking this stand. We should be inspired by their courage and reminded that tyranny is only possible if we submit to it.
Austin was once represented by the great Jake Pickle. A local fixture, he always took the time to listen and engage. Now the 10th district stretches as far as the Houston suburbs of Katy and Tomball and is represented by a drunk named Michael McCaul. Make this map make sense!!!

His past ideas/comments in regard to immigration would bite him terribly. That said, we need a Latino candidate who can claw back support in South Texas/The Valley.
Allred needs to sit this out. He’s a proven loser. Beto is also damaged goods. If he has such great ideas and vision and wanted to be of sincere help, he should have run to chair the Texas Democratic Party a few months ago.

Following yesterday’s show of strength, and the results of recent special elections, I do not buy the narrative that Dems are in disarray. That said, the DNC most certainly is. These problems are owed to @kenmartin.bsky.social who is proving himself incapable of meeting this moment.
If there’s an organization that deserves a swift kick to the nuts, it’s the DNC. It’s little more than a consultant driven fundraising apparatus beholden to special interests with little broad base of support. It needs @davidhogg.bsky.social and @rweingarten.bsky.social way more than Ken Martin!
The DNC is a failed organization and Ken Martin ain’t the man needed to rebuild it!
Yes, women should be in all places but can we as progressives please move past the cult of Ruth Bader Ginsburg? No one wants to prepare for their own demise but she, as an 80-something with a history of cancer, needed to retire in 2013. Her legacy has been shot as a result.
Hey @betoorourke.bsky.social. I campaigned for you in 2018, heard you on Pod Save America and believe you have good ideas. If you want to help, though, why didn’t you run to chair the Texas Democratic Party a few months ago? ‘26 is winnable, but neither you nor Allred can take out Paxton.

I don’t care what the polls say. Colin Allred’s tepid campaign against Cruz revealed him as not up to this challenge. Regardless of what some think of him, we need a candidate in the mold of Gallego who can claw back the Valley and South Texas.
If Paxton is the nominee, there is a chance for Dems to flip Texas’s Senate seat in 2026. Colin Allred, however, proved himself as incapable of this task in his race against Cruz. He and Beto need to sit this one out. Let’s get someone who can claw back The Valley and South Texas!

I don’t like or agree with everything he does, but he understands how messaging works and knows how to win which is something too few on our side grasp.
It would behoove some of you to actually listen to this interview.
A special place in hell for the people who took our phone numbers and sold them to every progressive group and candidate in the country.
