Weirdly thrilled to see a ship named the USS Miyazaki in this week's episode of Starfleet Academy! It's nice to know there are some Studio Ghibli fans in the Federation of the distant future (and reciprocally, I did manage to sneak a Star Trek reference into my book on Kiki's Delivery Service).

I don't think you should be selling that Ghibli coloring book. It's unlicensed and self-published, with suspiciously zero credited artists.

This week’s Starfleet Academy offers a beautiful story of a warrior’s ongoing journey to self-actualization, and one of Star Trek’s best Klingon episodes in decades. What we’re getting with Jay-Den Kraag’s character development is already on a par with Ma’ah’s superb arc on Lower Decks.
