Interesting take from a Boer!

I used to casually follow the AND Campaign, mostly out of respect for Sho Baraka. Sadly, as fascism has risen it has become increasingly clear that the campaign has nothing useful to say because of their pathologic desire to always take the middle ground.

Anybody who doesn't understand Nick Adams has either forgotten or just doesn't know the key fact that explains everything he does: he's Australian. Lying to Americans about stupid shit is the birthright of all Aussies.

I am aware of that.

As a Christian, I was not prepared for how much of a mindfuck it would be to see how quickly my irreligious friends respond to the injustices of Trumpism while so many of my fellow Christians either stay silent or hedge over and over again. It is genuinely faith-damaging.

Being a "leftist white guy who owns guns and values the 2nd Amendment" can be an alienating and lonely experience. The murder of Alex Pretti not only shows those guys that they aren't alone, it gives them a role model to emulate. I think that will end up being a powerful thing in the future.

I stumbled onto the main page for Sports on Substack (not logged in) and within the first five recommended pieces were one boilerplate anti-trans screed and one blatantly racist rant about white people actually being superior athletes than Black people.

What the hell is happening on that site?
