Postdoctoral Fellow - Cellular signalling and cytoskeletal function lab

Postdoc job alert in the Crick Institute in London. Are you interested in the actin cytoskeleton? I am looking for a postdoc to examine the cellular, developmental or physiological role of Arp2/3 iso-complex driven actin polymerisation. Multiple aspects available.

oh dang, I didn't realize they were going to cut our promised $400 to $200, I still reviewed the same # of grants (and actually read them more this time, end of october cancelled, again before reviews submitted the second time two weeks before study section, and then again for meeting)

actually still haven't received it....even though it did get rescheduled and happened > 1 month ago. have emailed twice. i mean, we all know that $400 is not much for the amount of work it is, but on principle they owe me that $400.

Another life has been lost at the hands of Trump’s masked agents. Their violence is unacceptable and un-American. Our leaders must put an end to ICE’s reign of terror and its cruelty.

I'm working on my biosketch in ScienCV, and apparently the form has changed since i worked on it last year. Sigh. Also, Am i correct that we can refer to only 10 pubications in the entire biosketch. there cannot be 4 new publications for each of the 5 contributions?

The current situation of NIH science is a tragedy. So much was lost in 2025. Many of us are struggling to keep afloat. I only hope that in 2026 more people wake up to the fact that USA science has been deeply damaged. We are resilient, but we are in grave danger of losing ourselves./end

My lab in the NIH Intramural Program (Bethesda, MD) will be recruiting postdoctoral fellows over the next year with flexible start dates. We work on nanoscale cellular imaging of the plasma membrane and related organelles. Please reach out if you’re interested. www.training.nih.gov/jobs/pdp-053...

She let me know that they recently received guidance that, ONLY for the January EI deadline (1/27/2026) and the February ESI deadline (2/3/2026), PIs can submit MIRAs even if their previous application (R35, R01, R15, R21, and R37) is still considered under review.

So if there is concensus, we should vote one out of range just to separate %? And also they are over the last three meetings, right?

From MBoC… Dorothy Lerit (Emory University) shows how cells choreograph RNA delivery to their division centersβ€”keeping the process of cell division precise and on time.

So wait, the previous notice said to submit all grants by deadline, and now they are changing that and re-opening?

Great! thanks y'all. I wasn't sure if SROs needed to push a button to switch it the next phase, so we could see each others comments. It would be helpful to see other comments while grants are fresh in my head.
