When you're about transform as Silver in Deadlock after the nerfs and you know you're about to watch as the team runs away from your 2 stamina having ass for free
Today after the big Deadlock patch, i sat down and made a build for Yamato myself, and didn't rely on anyone else. i proceeded to have 3/4 extremely good games.
that's how you know i'm lost. i've learned the MOBA enough to be able to curate my own items. god help my soul. Deadlock is peak tho
The day i no longer have to do M11S reclears is going to be a blessed fucking day
fuck that god damn fight so much lmao
"but variant dungeons don't have replay value they shouldn't put resources into making more of the-"
make a version of the variants that replace regular dungeons going forward that use RNG paths in expert roulette so that every new dungeon isn't the exact same boring 9 year old formula. kthxbuy
The new variant dungeon in FFXIV "The Merchant's Tale" is probably the easiest of the variants to get all the entries for. the majority of them are pretty straight forward and the ones that aren't are mostly easy to intuit or stumble into.
that said, i love variants please make more Yoshi-P i beg.
The enemy team in deadlock the microsecond you transform as silver
M12S Down
I don't know how to feel about this fight. its not execution wise difficult at all, but there's a *lot* to pay attention to so i never feel like i'm just going through the motions.
more than happy to have cleared though. The Arcadion is definitely the best raid tier since Alexander
Every time i think i can get back into the rhythm of streaming consistently something throws it off again and i have to start the cycle over.
i just wish there was something i wanted to play for hours on end that i could do every day like i used to have. can't complain though, just gotta find it.
for the clear record, there is almost no way you can actually make this work, majestic leap goes on a 5s cooldown if you take damage so the literal only way this happens is if you don't get hit at all during the channel time of billy's ult which, in a team fight situation, is basically 0% chance
i'm about to grief so many oracle lobbies in deadlock trying to hit clips with this meme shit i stg
Waking up as a result of a charlie horse really just is the worst thing. especially considering the way i sleep means i just can't get out of bed in time to tech it.
I've unironically spent more time just doing movement with Celeste than actually playing Deadlock since she released so uh
funny CS:GO Bhop Song as i schmove all over the cursed apple
The Potential of Celeste's movement in deadlock is hard to see if you're not super familiar with the game, so i made a quick video showing a route i've been having fun doing, while also showing just how much easier Celeste's Air Accel and gravity make it
Diddy Kong Racing is super close, all but 1 trophy race is required for glitchless
Yeah no i might end up a Celeste main for the movement alone, this is making every braincell in my body go brrrrrrr i love this mobility
i don't claim to be a movement god at deadlock at all ftr, this is just an example i came up with as a result of my knowledge of airstrafing and skill level at deadlock movement
So the newest Deadlock hero Celeste for some reason has a lower gravity, and higher air acceleration value than every other character in the game, this not only means that moving around by bhopping is faster than walking, but it also means her base mobility potential is ridiculous. Video example.
Finally, the game features a required grind at the end of the game that if you hadn't started at all, you are FORCED to complete, and its a very monotonous grind.
Despite these gripes. i am happy to have played prime 4. and i enjoyed the good parts of the game more than enough to say its worth it.
Fifthly, while the overall story is fine to good, i fail to feel satisfied by the ending of the game in any way shape or form. and while i'm not asking for a metroid game to be a storytelling masterpiece or anything, the way Prime 4 Ended leaves a MAJOR sour taste in my mouth. 9/10
fourthly, the linearity of the game is taken to a frankly annoying degree this time. while all metroid games have generally had some degree of backtracking, (which i don't mind) the backtracking in this game was taken to an absurd degree in some place that again, just feels like pure BLOAT 8/10
Thirdly, the "open world" part of the game is pure and simple, Bloat. it pads the runtime of the game in a way that barely adds anything, as there's not truly that much to find in it, but you're required to spend a significant portion of the game in it for multiple reasons. don't do this again. 7/X
Secondly, for all the potential the Motorbike could've had, it largely ended up being a monotonous, under-yet over utilized and bloat feeling part of the game that, while never bored me to tears, never made me feel more than fleeting feelings of major joy. could've been so much more. 6/X
But obviously, the game wouldn't make me have complicated feelings if it was all good.
Firstly, fuck the NPC companions. they are at best, somewhat interesting and funny, and at worst, annoying as fuck and a genuine nuisance and i genuinely hope future prime games limit them to prime 3 status 5/X
i also have to say the mouse controls surprised me in how much i liked them. they were awkward to get used to at first, but once i turned off the mouse acceleration equivalent, i don't think i could ever play the game without em. they did a very good job with the control schemes as well overall 4/X
The overall number of bosses in the game feels a bit low for my tastes, i prefer them in abundance like in Prime 2, but what bosses are here are with few exceptions, some of my favorite to figure out and fight for the first time, with a certain 2nd fight against a certain someone being peak. 3/X
The Actual Metroid Prime gameplay that is here, (the classic boost ball spider ball 1st person combat, puzzles etc) is some of the best in the series that i was constantly having fun with, and i loved the way they evolved a lot of the older gimmicks and used the newer gimmicks, top notch stuff 2/X
Alright because i need to put these thoughts out here, This is My Opinion Thread on Prime 4
I'll start by stating obvious good things about the game, that the OST is classic prime feeling and very strong, and visually, this is the best looking nintendo game *by far* its fucking gorgeous. 1/X
