"Start to pray in the name of Jesus and see what happens."
This week, our Lent reflections continue with the Bishop of Bolton, Matthew Porter, on 'sharing in prayer'.
Build life-giving habits every day with us this Lent. Find our reflections at cofe.io/EverydayFaithApp.

At the top, the text reads "Draw Near," and a Bible verse "βYet even now, says the Lord, return to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning; rend your hearts and not your clothing. Return to the Lord your Godβ - Joel 2:12.
To mark the start of Lent, on #EverydayFaith, The Rev Dr Matthew Salisbury guides us through exploring how to return to God with all our heart, as Joel urges, to declare who God is and who we are before him.

St Georgeβs Day: Along with many other churches, we don't keep saintsβ days during Easter Week. When St Georgeβs Day or St Markβs Day falls between Palm Sunday and the Second Sunday of Easter inclusive, it is transferred to the Monday after the Second Sunday of Easter. If both fall in this period, St Georgeβs Day is transferred to the Monday and St Markβs Day to the Tuesday. That means that this year, St George's Day falls on 28 April 2025.
This year the feast day of St George falls on 28 April 2025.
Why will the Church celebrate St Georgeβs Day on a different day this year?π€
