My mam's chess game has deserted her today. Send vibes for round two

A not unreasonable position

I will block anyone who tries to say "Enjoy the camps."

Someone just did it.

Will she even say it to him?

Labour MPs say this stuff from time to time to get a cheer, but they simply aren't standing up in the commons saying to the government: "This is wrong and we shouldn't be doing this shit to a vulnerable minority."

Until they do, properly, all of them are complicit.

I think they might have better luck spending two thousand dollars holding a press conference where they detail who made the key decisions to collaborate with the Trump administration, how and when they were fired, and explaining what would stop that from happening again.

Would have been nice if she'd addressed that strange interview. It wouldn't have taken more than five minutes.

No on the grounds that they already know and either don't give a shit, or are happy with what they've done

I hope she'll one day speak out on the removal of trans human rights too.

But I won't hold my breath.

I keep thinking I should be in it, for solidarity's sake. And then I remember how much that's worth when trans people give it to politicians

Tweet by Darren Johnson:

This post is what they are not happy about. I knew at the time it would put my 37-year membership of the party in jeopardy but I was not going to sit back and stay silent while leading members of the Green Party went out of their way to trash the findings of the Cass Review.

Quoted tweet by Darren Johnson in response to Zoe Garbett:

"Vote Green if you want to completely ignore medical evidence and see more children pumped full of harmful drugs"

Absolutely effing outrageous.

Zoe Garbett's tweet:

"There's no middle ground between respecting trans people's humanity and rejecting it"

Following the Cass Review, Londoners can be confident that a vote for me is a vote for someone who has LGBTQIA+ people's backs.

This is a lie. He was expelled for being a transphobe.

#GPEW friends, convince me I should rejoin.

Ramsay. Jones. Ali. Chowns. All did/said transphobic things that lead me to believe they're at best not allies and at worst enemies of me and people I love and there were no consequences.

They're about half of the most powerful people in the Greens.

Probably unfair to you specifically to do this, but yes it is.

Labour trailed in huge letters that they were the Tory Party but more competent, and you all voted for them anyway to get the Blue Tories out. Understandable, but there's a reason the left abandoned Labour around 2020-22.

Westminster Meeting House raided by Metropolitan Police again. Statement: β€œFor Quakers, faith and action are inseparable. Peaceful protest, prayer and nonviolent action are integral parts of many Quakers' religious life.

Whilst we take the planning of criminal acts very seriously, we believe that this incident is a deliberate targeting of committed young people who want to make our country a more equitable place. This raid is part of a systematic stifling of dissent.

That this is the second time in a year that the police have raided our meeting house dramatically illuminates the broader trend in the UK of cracking down on those who disagree with the government. The right to protest is fundamental to our democracy. It's a key part of how people make their voices heard between elections.” – Oliver Robertson, Head of Witness and Worship

Yesterday evening, for the second time in a year, the Met Police raided Westminster Quaker Meeting House and arrested a number of young nonviolent activists.

I don't trust her on this, I think she's just got a bollocking off her cousin or whoever it is in her family that's trans, and this is a token "Look I care" that means sweet fuck all.

If she had any dignity she'd be screaming to camera that Starmer is killing us.

She's a fucking careerist collaborator who occasionally feels a bit bad about her family member, and nothing else.

06.03.2026 15:43 πŸ‘ 5 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

State of it. She knows damn well that the Labour Party are not being a bit soft on trans rights, but actively smashing them to bits.

This thing about the language is in my view an example of the judiciary writing law.

Those public order offences (harassed, alarmed and distressed) were meant to be for things like death threats, not for swearing, but the cops decided they could abuse the law and the courts collaborated.
