I think I have finished this pencil drawing of some ancient pollarded beech trees on Leith Hill. I’m fascinated by the interconnection between trees. Is this 1 tree or 5, or more?

These are zinc plates etched with nitric acid but recently I have been working more on copper plates etched with ferric chloride.

I love a shed and the more dilapidated the better! I did a whole series of etchings of allotments before we moved to the countryside and now I’m doing barns!

I am absolutely delighted that my etching ‘Dilapidated Barns at Hangers Wood’ has been selected for the Works on Paper exhibition at the Royal West of England Academy, Bristol. 25 Jan – 27 Apr 2025.

Hello Denise! I think there are printmakers here but it’s early days and we are still trying to find each other. Hopefully the Printmakers Council can help us find each other and promote printmaking to a wider audience.

Yes, fully restored. Apparently the Colombian press had been on the first floor of a building and fell through the floor but survived the fall with only superficial damage!!
