I was thinking about putting work into finally getting my CUSMA exemption stuff figured out for US shipping but now the tariffs may change again so I’m just gonna wait it out instead of wasting my time but also I would really like to get off this rollercoaster.

Handlettered words say “old woman shakes fist at clouds” around a bunch of cartoon clouds. In the middle of one is a quote from the essay “I was prepared to leave the comment alone, I don’t make a habit of feeding troll, but then I thought, nah, why not, and responded with something kinda stupid and throw-away (the comment was stupid and throw-away so they don’t really deserve more thought from me) something along the lines of ‘I’d rather stomp on my hands ‘.” And then at the bottom is a cartoon drawing of me angrily shaking my fist at the clouds above.

Smitten kitchen has the best recipe and they are soooo easy to make. The jam ones are the best, and they taste delicious even when it isn’t Purim!

It’s Hamantaschen weekend, folks. These are in the oven making my house smell delicious. The kiddo got to choose the fillings so…there’s mini kit-kats in there.

And some people do. I make everything by hand one at a time and each one is different. I made 3 of these but each one is unique because I am not, nor do I ever want to be, a machine. The JOY is in the process, not in the product.

My kid used to bring me tiny flowers/weeds all the time and I will attest that tiny vases come in very useful for such things.

There are tons of potters making small and tiny vases that work perfectly for whiskers! I’ve collected a few over the years and I also make them myself.

In theory yes, but I think this one is probably too short. I make tiny vases separate from the shelf that could probably work pretty well if you fill them with sand so they won’t tip over. I personally can’t do incense without feeling like I’m dying so I feel disingenuous making accessories for it.

This is an epic collection! I have a white cat so it took me a while before I figured out what was just annoying regular hair and what was a whisker.

I went years without seeing them and now I find them all the time. I have a little vase on a window sill full of them.

An arched unfired ceramic altar (a little wall shelf) with a tiny vase attached to the base. The perfect size for cat whiskers.

I’m kind of flipping out over this thing. It’s a little shrine for your cat whiskers (or small flowers for normal people). I’ve only made 3 of them, they are pretty labour intensive, but they feel like a truly *complete* object.

Also the bowls of clay-water I have sitting around settling so I can pour the water off and reclaim the sludge at the bottom aren’t helping either. That sludge smells like a bog when disturbed 🤢

(It’s not from lack of cleanliness or anything, it’s from the guy who lives in the basement chain smoking pot all day long which is to me one of the top 5 most vile smells)

I already had a pretty sensitive nose, but I swear it’s back to pregnancy bloodhound levels (thanks perimenopause) and I’m resorting to constant air purifiers and masking in my own house to keep from gagging.

You know how people have naked at school anxiety dreams? I have “why is there only one toilet and why is it right in the middle of this office supply store that I am at and why do I absolutely HAVE to use it?” anxiety dreams.

There’s a fairy burlesque club too and it’s the same thing. It’s lit like an ikea.

Watching True Blood. Every time I gotta watch a scene in this stupid vampire club I get so mad. Why are all the lights on?! Why does it always look like it’s after last call and they are about to start mopping the floor?! I hate this so much.

This looks wildly satisfying, kinda made me want to put down the teacup I’m working on and also go paint pine trees with so much texture 😂
