We hope this work supports more reliable and principled approaches to handling missingness in EHRs, where incomplete data are the norm.
This study systematically compares seven methodological paradigms for managing missingness (within or across modalities) in EHR data, highlighting how different algorithmic assumptions influence performance under different missingness distributions.
