If you know the kind of music I like, this one's inspirations are obvious. The core of the song was based on "what if I make a song in a different time signature" and I think it went really well.

The pad sound feels very drum and bass to me and it was the inspiration for the track as a whole. I love rhythms and percussions so dnb feels fun to make!

PHOENIX-1 was made as part of my self-imposed challenge in 2024 to do a One Hour Compo every week, which was over a year ago!
It was improved a lot since, but the core was there. I was quite happy with it, and the idea of keeping some of my OHCs as standalone releases started there...
