As an alternative way to express myself without feeling the need to seek likes or approval from others, I've put together a little personal website. I'm posting book reviews and my pixel art there, and in future I may add more stuff, who knows. Feel free to check it out.

Hi friends. Over the last few years I've really realized how horrible social media has been for my mental health, which is why I hardly ever use it. Not deleting this acct, but wanted to quickly check in.

I’m sorry but people talking about talent as an unfair quality that needs to be Harrison Bergeroned away by AI have exactly the same energy as people saying it’s unfair that attractive people have more people attracted to them and the government should legislate their right to a hot wife

It’s always β€œLadies, if you are alienated by overwork, drop out of the public sphere and become a tradwife” and never β€œLadies, if you are alienated by overwork, form a union.”

Pointing out there's no such thing as unskilled labor.

People who do labor-intensive work have specialized skills. People working on farms have a LOT of invaluable skills and specific knowledge. A random person can't replace them.

This is deeply fucked on many levels.

To whoever just set off a very loud firework in front of my building:

My very stressed out kitty had just finally fallen asleep. You woke her up.

I hope you step on a lego.

Today, July 2nd 2025, is the last chance we have as Americans to do what we can to stop Trump's BB Bill from passing to his desk. PLEASE call your representatives right now if you can and tell these people who work for us to vote in our interest. Tell them to VOTE NAY.

Thanks to the book the phrase β€œmentally constipated” has entered my lexicon and I think my life is better for it.

I’m reading Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil by V.E. Schwab uncharacteristically slowly for me, not because I’m disliking it but because I’m savoring every moment.

Chatbots β€” LLMs β€” do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re β€œright” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.

Yes. Their president attempted a coup last year by declaring martial law. The people immediately mobilized and began a mass protest.

South Korea was in a military dictatorship within living memories. They do not fuck around about going back to one.

When you have kidnapped a mayoral candidate for New York City for doing his job, you no longer have a free society. You are not on the road to a dictatorship, you are officially living in one.

Hi, this is Meg Barnette, Brad's wife.

While escorting a defendant out of immigration court at 26 Federal Plaza, Brad was taken by masked agents and detained by ICE.

This is still developing, and our team is monitoring the situation closely.
