We haven't had to buy a muzzle (yet; Dinah has picked up a bad habit of eating street treats and that may be the fix) but we usually get our stuff locally. Pet Valu (preferred) or Pet Zone (local chain, but the owner was an ass to Dinah once).

In Canada, we recently felt the loss of so many children, killed by someone little more than a child themselves, and we mourned. I think most of us are still in mourning.

How could we possibly support something like this? How can we not grieve this loss? How can we ignore the pain?

So sad to share that legendary colorist Tatjana Wood has passed away at the age of 99. Her pioneering painterly touch graced scores of DC & Vertigo series. She was truly one of a kind and a special friend. May her memory be a blessing.

We need those here in St. John's too

Oh man, where do I get one of these?

Reminder folks, with all the snow. Take it easy, don't give yourself a heart attack.

Shoveling snow is legit a heart risk, i can not tell you how many neighbours have gone to hospital because they had a heart attack while shoveling.

They really are set in their ways. Dinah will almost never poop in her yard. She'll make me walk through a blizzard instead (which she did last nightπŸ™ƒ)

We're lucky to be on the end and have only 1 car so most of our driveway and a patch of grass between us and the neighbour is just a snow dump. But the neighbours on our left haven't seen daylight through their living room window for days. Nowhere to put their snow.

This just reminded me I need to finish watching the Kubrick filmography. I think The Killing, Paths to Glory, Barry Lyndon, and Eyes Wide Shut are all I have left.

Glad I still have my originals πŸ™‚ love how they say "includes the Sevii islands" as of that was some DLC or something. But I do hope lots of new players that don't have the originals or never played them will enjoy.

Never liked Roth as a person or his movies. Not afraid to admit I've enjoyed a few of Tarantino's, but I imagine some would not hold up to a re-watch.

Jesus christ. Is he on the same shit Kanye West is on? Something to make them say stupid shit in the media so they stay relevant? Will he take a full page apology ad out in a few years? Good god.

Mine knocked on my door last night to borrow a pair of needlenose pliers because he cracked off his key in his doorπŸ˜… I felt very neighbourly helping him out.

I'm severely tempted, but why is it missing issue 7?

I spoke with a prof yesterday who told me that he and 5 of his colleagues are facing non-renewal of their contracts come Spring, while half the slots of classes are cut and class sizes doubled for those left to teach. Sounds like a real disservice to students to save essentially pennies.

So sorry for your loss.

After the horrible news coming out of BC yesterday, I really hope this doesn't lead to a wave of anti-trans discourse in this country. The conversations should be on access to longterm mental healthcare and gun control.

I've somehow avoided his work my entire life and I'm no worse for it. All I knew of him was through caracature depictions in cartoons/cultural osmosis. I'd say the same about Polanski, but I saw Chinatown before I knew anything about him. Avoided his work since.

Best of luck! I can't imagine crate training an adult dog is easy. I imagine you're going through a lot of treatsπŸ˜…

πŸ˜… seriously though, I'm a really casual gamer. My most played games of the last few years have been slow turn based RPGs like Pokemon and Digimon (Time Stranger has been so good). I have played Super Metroid and found Dread much easier to get into.

08.02.2026 13:27 πŸ‘ 2 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

I'm nowhere near a hardcore gamer and I 100%'d Dread. I almost never complete a game like that, but I was hooked. I found the game did a good job of building your skills as you progressed.

The "I'm coming back with my biggest book yet!" part felt particularly egregious.

Oh is it FighterZ? I really enjoyed that one too.

What I wouldn't give for Funimation to do a proper restoration/release. I managed to get 3 of the Dragon Boxes before they went out of print and skyrocketed in price. But it really deserves a good release.

Genuinely confused about 29. Do conservatives just hate cephalopods? Is it really a communist manifesto disguised under the mantle of giant squids? What am I missing here?πŸ˜…

Mount Cashel is why my father was adamant I was baptized in the United Church. He didn't trust the Catholic priest. I'm told that same priest was convicted the next year, though the records are so spotty its hard to confirm its the same guy.
