Great to visit St Maryβs Primary School in Battersea today - one of the first schools to receive indoor air quality filters as part of my initiative to improve childrenβs health.
More than 200 schools will be getting indoor air quality filters soon.

Over 200 schools are involved, with those with poorer air quality and higher deprivation prioritised. Khan sees this as a social justice issue. PM2.5 levels are 65% lower with filters and offer greater protection from airborne viruses, leading to higher attendance and prevention of Long Covid.β Long Covid Advocacy logo with gradient hand at the bottom.

Curious if the CAN-PCC recommendations are still being updated? Should I keep checking back?
Article should be paired with one of @drsmith.bsky.social's stained N95's from riding the subway
The area burned in the Canadian 2025 fire season has hit 5 million ha. Third active fire season in a row that combined has burned 7% of the Canadian forest. Currently we have 346 fires out of control (192 monitored out of control (OC) and 154 OC that are being actioned) so expect the number to rise.
What a pleasure to see Paris, a city that has become the epicentre of cycling, the most child-friendly city, which is creating urban forests and transforming itself to tackle climate change.
Thank you and well done @annehidalgo.bsky.social π«ππ»π«
Starter packs can still be a really good thing when weβre trying to grow a community here, like the city-building and urbanism community. Use responsibly, but please consider creating and sharing your own.
New edition of CSA Standard for Selection, use, and care of respirators is under public comment. Please visit publicreview.csa.ca/Home/Details... and offer your comments. Of particular interest is section 9, Healthcare. Surgical masks aren't protection, and much more.
yes, also wondering if you meant no longer available in U.S. only, or other countries as well?
Genuinely curious about this point. Is this a combination of online and outdoor socializing then? Testing and smaller groups indoors? Can you expand?
Always happy to read your updates! Wondering why Moderna-1283 mNEXSPIKE is not in your latest update? Just trying to understand how it fits into the larger picture. Is it self-amplifying?

Those look like some interesting videos you have created for your new course. Thanks for sharing, we plan to check those out. In a quick preview of your videos, I noticed your nice black N95. Can you share the make, model and where it's available from?

We listened to this today. If I wanted a family member or friend to understand why we are still taking precautions, I would share this Q&Q episode. The guest also seemed to make a distinction between LC and organ damage (as per title) which I found interesting
Big news month for nextgen Covid vax!
- Self-amplifying mRNA now in Europe: Burning question answered! It is transient, like other mRNA.
- France taking the lead for intranasal Covid vax?
- What are the prospects for Covid vax in the US?

"Furthermore, we observed a female-specific increase in transcriptomic and proteomic activation of multiple innate immune cell subsets during breakthrough infections."
Does this study support the idea that βοΈ are more susceptible to LC, and that vax prior to infection might be esp. helpful for βοΈ?
Looks like Home Depot is the winner. $24 per filter in a 3-pak. 20x20x1" 3M Filtrete MPR 1900 (i.e., MERV13). No sales ATM
I wonder if there is a CDN group that's keeping track of sales of these and posting? A lot of people running DIY CR boxes, North Boxes etc that need replacement filters
Replacing filters here too! At the moment, we are trying to figure out who in Ontario is offering the best deal on 3M Filtrete MPR 1900 filters...
