Columbo, yes. Lovejoy, no.

The two records they did together are most definitely in a folk vein. You should check them out. The covers testify to their folkiness. Could be worth pursuing the tape- very cash poor at the moment.
I enjoyed his records with Arianne Churchman so would I enjoy this?
I wanted to go for a walk recently, but I found I'd have to step outside my house and then put one foot in front of the other, over and over again. Absolute nightmare. I won't try that again.
You don't need to be Canadian. This is often hummed here in Beccles, England, if anyone ever says "maybe tomorrow" for any reason.
If that's the 'box' I'll take it off your hands. I think I can just squeeze it in without Claire noticing. It may render the room unusable, though. I'm not sure it can take another 'box'.
Allen Ginsberg and Jack Kerouac show off their kittens.
The cover of a book 'The Magus of Mexico Malcolm Lowry Magic and Myth'. The cover looks like a light blue metallic flash on a dark blue background. The title is in a small rectangular box at the top of the cover.
Malcolm Lowry late of the Bowery. A friend of mine at college, about 40 years ago, asked me what sort of books I read. I listed a few and he said, "You'd probably like Malcolm Lowry, then". He wasn't wrong.
I have heard (this was on the internet, you understand) they were quick enough to cut someone saying 'Free Palestine', very quickly, at the end of a speech, but maybe the truck had moved slightly closer at that point.
I know exactly what you mean by "Gilles Peterson music". I used to listen religiously- you needed Ceefax for the track-listings then! It's still good stuff. Don't know what he's playing now, though.
You don't see 'Commitment' in a ยฃ1 section- or any other sections come to that- every day.
I have a soft spot for Susannah McCorkle.
Those stumperies don't just plant themselves you know.
Tried to like this multiple times but it's verboten!
Two bottles of 2025 vintage Thomas Hardy's Ale. One bottle is a 'Special Reserve' aged in Armagnac barrels.
Phew! Looks like I'm still cutting it with my beloved. I never take it for granted, but secretly I was thinking I'd managed to maintain a good enough over the year.
Plus one on 'Initiation', that's a great record. I haven't played it for a bit because it's very hard to get to my R's at the moment. No jokes, please.
Hamamelis mollis (yellow) and Diane (red) in a silver metal vase with sprigs of Nandina
Close-up of the yellow flowers of Hamamelis mollis
Close-up of the red flowers of Hamamelis intermedia 'Diane' with Nandina foliage
Slight relief from rain today so I nipped out to cut some Witch-hazel for the kitchen Red flowered 'Diane' does not have the fragrance of the yellow flowered 'mollis' but the leaf colouring in autumn is superior

But what about, "These will be my last purchases for the foreseeable future"? That was just five days ago. I trusted you; now look what you've done.
The Cover of a book- Julien Gracq 'Abounding Freedom'. A pen lies next to it to suggest that given an infinite number of years It may be possible for me to write at least one sentence to rival the exquisite style in which Mr Gracq writes all his sentences.
Some of the most poetic prose imaginable.
They have strong competition from Lucy Reed and Bill Evans- and we must presume Danny Kaye the best, surely?
Things We Said Today for starters
Shere Khan, an oriental chocolate tabby cat who is very sadly missed.
Let me stop you there.
There is nothing so interesting as a real enthusiast and that will be a great book.
That's probably what would happen but I mustn't buy more stuff. Do you ever try 1 in 1 out? Doesn't work does it. More like 1 out 4 or 5 in. I'm not allowed use the upstairs -a shame because it's empty up there. It is mad having the Mustang doing nothing. I could never persuade my son to use it.
Going by the serial number it's 68. I've a similar problem plus books. It's difficult to know what to do. There are still lots of records I've not heard- do I not buy them? I don't have the guitar problem, though. It stopped at 6 many years ago. I don't need any now so they could all go. Eeeeek!
Blue Fender Mustang headstock
I don't know where you put all these 'projects'. I've got another guitar that probably needs a bit of a clean up bought around the same time as the 12 string. Haven't played it for some time.
A Vox 12 string acoustic guitar
The back of a Vox 12 string acoustic guitar.
It does. I've had it about 40 years- got used quite a bit once and not really looked after. There's a golf tee instead of a peg holding one of the strings in. Needs a bit of TLC.
I've got one of those as well.
Going to pop that on my favourites list
Thought The Wedding Present did a very good one some years ago.
