I’ve taken the Senate floor and will speak for as long as I’m physically able to lift the voices of Americans who are being harmed and not being heard in this moment of crisis. Watch here:
This is gonna be a long speech. And the glee that the GOP synchophants are expressing at the collapse of our democracy is beyond disappointing.
🚨BREAKING🚨
Leonard Peltier Granted Executive Clemency
After 50 years of unjust incarceration and the tireless efforts of intergenerational grassroots organizing and advocacy, our elder and relative Leonard Peltier has been granted executive clemency.
Got the tree up and decorated yesterday since I’m heading out of town for work for 16 days. The kids baked cookies, it was a lovely night. ❤️
It snowed yesterday as soon as we put on White Christmas right before we ate. Magic
Holidays are llamas and cactuses 🌵
I love breakfast 🫶🏽
Fingers crossed it holds, it is Maine and it’s still a week out lol
This incoming administration has a strategy to shock and distract so that we’re too busy spinning in circles to take care of ourselves and become very strategic about organizing and acting. Remember when our base needs are met, we can tolerate stress, we think strategically and we can move together✊🏽
In my mind this is small, intentional, hyper local moves to create healthier humans. Check on your friends and family. Like really check in. Have nourishing food. Unplug from the 24/7 news cycle and reduce your stress to get restful sleep. Move your body. And then repeat again and again.
In this moment it can feel like we have to have all the answers and have to take action. And we do, of course we do. But to think strategically, to be able to respond to the needs of others, to move into our higher brain we have to not only meet the base need for ourselves but for others too.
When we keep asking, how can others not care about my human rights, other’s human rights, the climate crisis…I think we forget that our brains struggle to connect to those things when we’re struggling to nourish ourselves and move out of crisis brain thinking.
This. When you think of Maslow’s hierarchy we know before we can think about things like community wellness or social good our base needs have to be met. The physiological like food, shelter and sleep allow us to then think beyond that immediate instinct for survival.
Our Native American communities understand that elections don’t solve problems, they create new conditions in which we organize. And so now we know what the board looks like. Let organizing and acting commence. 🔥✊🏽❤️
I am incredibly proud to be a board member of the Equality Community Center here in Portland. On this day, the Transgender Day of Remembrance, please consider supporting organizations who uplift, protect and support our trans community year round.

Have you already picked the moniker? Papa? Grandpa? DooDah?
Tens of thousands of people have marched on the New Zealand parliament in Wellington to protest against a bill that critics say strikes at the core of the country’s founding principles and dilutes the rights of Māori people.

This morning I stepped outside with my coffee and a ginormous buck with full ass antlers ran across the street, across my front yard and then disappeared.
Am I extra sacrit now? 🦌🦌🦌
This Native American Heritage Month if I have to set context for why something is racist/harmful/shitty to the Native community I am charging an “education fee”
We’ll work out the fee before I drop the knowledge ✊🏽🔥❤️
On Sundays I watch football. The Pats are my team, since way before the Brady years.
Yelling at the TV during games brings me joy. May your Sunday bring you joy 🏈
I am so grateful to have an incredible elder who is my ED at work who tempers my burn it all down fury with years of wisdom and patience. She reminds me about balance, all things in relation and thinking generationally and with centering relationships as the way we do movement work.
Important to note here in Maine the bills that will be worked on this session will be due by our legislators around the third week in December. So get on the phone with your reps to make your collective voices heard on what the priorities are this session. ❤️🔥✊🏽
Oh I’m watching and I hope it’s a short 2-hit affair, Tyson hitting Paul’s face and Paul hitting the floor 😘
Sometimes I post badass political accomplishments, sometimes I’m just really proud of the breakfast sandwich I made ❤️

My day job is working with our Native communities on voter engagement and education. One of the big discussions we’ve had with our fellows who worked this election season is about data integrity and how important it is to see the whole picture. #CouncilorAF
