Berroco Comfort!
I hugely recommend the company- They have donated bags of yarn to my classroom, and the sheer generosity has made me a life long customer. They're worth it.
Cute little colorwork hearts on the needles. I think this will turn into a very sweet hat. π§Ά

Trump announced that Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem will be stepping down at the end of the month!
I've got a new PBL Unit and a free resource posted to my TeachersPayTeachers account.
I'm getting back into the habit of sharing the actual lessons that I use in my classroom. Rest assured, everything here has already been tried and fully tested.

My quality of life is going to improve so, so much once I no longer have to track my child's bathroom happenings.
#parenthood sure is ...glamorous
Humble Bundle has a Terry Pratchett bundle right now - $16 for 39 novels. If you don't have your own little collection built yet, this is a steal ππ
This is looking to be a 4 day weekend coming right off the heels of another 4 day weekend.
And guess whose whole family has spent the entire time sick.
Who was gonna tell me this is Stephen King's son?!
Gov. Pritzker's letter to Donald Trump demanding a refund on tariffs.
Cut the check, Donald Trump.
It looks like Beth May from Dungeons & Daddies is running the LA Marathon as a fundraiser for NAMI, and has some signed gear up for auction to raise donations. Honestly, its a wonderful cause if you like Borderlands, DnDads, or want to support mental healthcare

I'm about to find out just how much fear is inherently involved in knitting socks. π§Ά #booksky
Big news! A win!! The Supreme Court has ruled that Trump exceeded his authority when he imposed sweeping tariffs on imports from nearly every U.S. trading partner. A major check on executive power!
My kid is obsessed with Lego Lord of the Rings, but is still too young to really play video games, so I cobbled together a Memory game for her. It's a hit!
There's nothing like a successful diy project to make you feel like an Actual Real-Life Competent Adult
Who does this? You didn't even try!!

I'm recaulking the bathtub today, and I really wish that my town had a Dennys so that I could fistfight the previous owners of my house behind the dumpster.
Everything about this novel felt bittersweet, lovely and real in a way that I'm sure is appealing to 99% of Milennials. I really appreciate a bildungsroman that doesn't romanticize the 90s, but still captures the feeling of growing up in that era.
Kevin Wilson has a knack for building some truly amazing messy female protagonists who are struggling to figure out their lives and assert themselves into the world. It's quite the niche and I salute him for it. ππ
"Now is Not the Time to Panic" by Kevin Wilson

2nd one knit, I'm much happier with the edits I made here. Smaller needles and a bigger cast on made a huge difference. π§Ά

What the hell am I supposed to do during professional development this afternoon? Listen to the speaker?!
I can't pinpoint any thing in particular about this novel that I most enjoyed. It's such a cool collection of different story styles and archetypes. Moving through these mini plots kept the novel exciting and made me curious about what the next step would be.
Highly recommended

A group of college kids summon a dragon and have to deal with the mental and ethical consequences of choosing a yearly tribute.
Fun, sad and a great examination of the different ways we all process loss. Hill made it satisfying to hateful everyone involved at different points of their own downfalls
"King Sorrow" by Joe Hill
4.5/5 stars
It is an absolute testament to Hill's writing skills that I stayed so engaged in a dark academic story (a genre I dislike) about such self-destructive characters (and wasn't that the point?)
Use this to further analyze a classroom classic, or allow students to pick their own favorite novel and watch as they wrote some good ol' Twilight fanfic.
From choosing a conflict to writing sensory details to creating realistic dialogue, I've got you.
I wanted to engage my students in creative writing, but knew they'd panic and shutdown if there was too much freedom.
This project is designed to guide students through the process of writing the next chapter of any chosen fiction novel.
