The dude knows what's up.
The thing that really sucks here is that it doesn't just waste our time (especially if we see a pitch that looks intriguing and it turns out to be trash). It makes organizations stop doing open calls, which cuts actual writers, especially early career ones, out of opportunities.
Every organization I work with, including The Flytrap, has noticed this every time we put out an open call for pitches and it gets picked up in an opportunities newsletter, just a deluge of AI slop we have to wade through.
