It very much overestimates how much regular people want a bunch of custom software for specific purposes. Most people don't even change the default settings on their phones.
Oh, I used to use it as an IDE and it was great. It didn't exactly democratize web dev though. I think, unsurprisingly, a lot of people underestimate how much stuff that isn't code has to happen to make a digital product that people actually want to use.
