After launch and the weekend and looking at top 10's in the console marketplaces let me just say,

It probably sold better on PC than console and that can be a kiss of death for a game like this.

I use sponsored kits and just do objectives so a lot of what I hear is anger they wasted ammo to get nothing in return.

I am not meant for extraction games, but knowing I am pissing people off wasting their time and resources on me when they could just ignore me and be fine is wonderful.

Anecdotally, Marathon has me interested in trying ARC Raiders and getting a more PvE extraction experience, but their insistence on using AI voices instead of using all the money they're making to pay actors is why I haven't pulled the trigger.

Bungie has an uphill climb after Destiny.

Starting off with weird store pricing so people have to drop $15 instead of $10 is not good.

Having any amount of FOMO when they said there would be none is not good.

Cause they simply don't get the benefit of the doubt, because of Destiny.

I mean, I worry about it cause it's yet another Bungie just can't help themselves situation.

I don't want the game to fail and I don't want them to die, but when you make NO FOMO a key part of your marketing because of choices in Destiny, and then you still FOMO anyway, that's bad.

Not 100% sure, but there's a knife skin listed as a limited time item, when you buy the rewards pass.

Seems like there will be an extra skin if you get the pass when the season is live.

Therefore, added FOMO to a non-expiring pass.

Honestly, more than anything, it’s impressive Bungie found a way to add FOMO to non expiring rewards passes.

Destiny was the rock that got my wife and I through cancer. I have too much of an emotional attachment to it.

Final Shape didn't save the studio and it did very well.

I truly don't believe that just an OK performance from Marathon is good for Bungie.

They were unhappy with 300,000 for Final Shape, at the same price.

For some reason I feel like 80,000 isn't actually that good.

I am actively getting stressed that a lot of people think Bungie can survive if Marathon only has a niche audience.

Marathon has to do better than Destiny did for Bungie to survive and be able to have 2 active games. The line isn't other extraction shooters, it's Destiny.

They managed to succeed with 9 where 6 failed.

Merging the two gameplay styles of survival and action horror into one game that is cohesive and makes sense.

Crew 2 is updated with Offline Mode, Motorfest's is still on the way.

I mean I could do that, but I am also being lazy.

It's kinda wild that this guy got paid by Russia to destabilize America and a sitting Congressperson still sent him closed door info.

Have they updated it with the Offline mode yet? I know it's coming.

Not only is this great game 7 bucks, but they are making sure it won't go away, because Ubisoft is face of game deletion due to the original Crew going offline.

After they said today they'll be adding DLSS support in the future. I gotta just believe that trailer was what they had at the moment, and they just kept working on it for release.

I think the second time that's happened on Switch 2. First was Star Wars Outlaws. Bad trailer, but solid launch.

This is not a bad port. Graphical compromises to hit 60 FPS in handheld mode, but otherwise incredibly solid.

I am so impressed this doesn't suck as hard as I prepared for.

I was set for a Day 1 Skyrim on Switch 2 situation. Playable but awful.

It is not that.

I expected a truly awful port job and waiting a month or two for a fix and then for it to be fine.

I did not expect the competent port job that we got today.

I am so, so happy.
