White letters that say "Sexual Violence" over a purple background and the logo of the Ace Community Survey Team (four squares colored with the asexual flag colors. The last one has a white tick over it).
Among aces, 15.7% had experienced non-contact unwanted sexual experiences in the past twelve months. One in ten (10.3%) had experienced some form of contact sexual violence, while 9.6% had experienced unwanted sexual contact. Around one percent had experienced sexual coercion (1.0%), rape (1.0%), or another form of contact sexual violence (1.2%). Of the ace respondents, 6.7% reported experiencing sexual violence related to their ace identity. Three quarters of aces (74.3%) reported that they had not experienced any of the above in the past twelve months.
When analyzed by gender, the percentage of ace women and nonbinary aces who reported non- contact sexual experiences was more than double that of ace men (17.0%, 16.7%, and 6.9%, respectively), as was the percentage of those who reported experiencing rape (1.0%, 1.1%, and 0.4%, respectively). However, responses across the three groups were similar regarding other forms of sexual violence. Notably, a lower percentage of nonbinary aces reported experiencing sexual violence due to their ace identity than either ace women or ace men (5.6%, 7.7%, and 7.3%, respectively). Eight out of ten ace men had not had any unwanted sexual experiences in the past twelve months (82.6%), along with seven out of ten ace women (72.5%) and nonbinary aces (74.3%).
When analyzed by gender and sexual orientation, nearly one out of five ace trans women (19.9%) reported having non-contact unwanted sexual experiences in the past twelve months, followed closely by intersex aces (18.8%), LGBPQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, pansexual, polysexual / polyromantic, or queer) ace respondents (18.4%), and a slightly lower percentage of transgender and/or nonbinary aces (16.6%) and ace trans men (13.3%). While experiences were similar across the gender spectrum, a higher percentage of ace trans women reported experiencing sexual violence in nearly every category, including unwanted sexual contact (13.1%), sexual coercion (2.3%), rape (1.8%, which tied with intersex aces), and other sexual violence (3.6%) compared to all other groups. A slightly higher percentage of LGBPQ ace respondents reported experiencing sexual violence related to their identity, followed by ace trans women (7.2% and 6.8%, respectively). Three quarters of ace trans men (77.3%) reported no unwanted sexual experiences in the past year, followed by 75.9% of intersex aces and 74.5% of trans/nonbinary aces. Seven out of ten LGBPQ aces (70.9%) and ace trans women (70.1%) had also not experienced any of the above.

When asked where survey respondents first heard about asexuality and/or the ace spectrum, the most common response among ace respondents and respondents unsure if they were ace was βI donβt rememberβ (18.7% and 25.7%, respectively). Among ace respondents who remembered where they first heard of asexuality and/or the ace spectrum, Tumblr was the most common platform (15.4%), followed by friends or family (12.9%) and internet searching (11.6%). When asked about previous partnered or intimate relationships, almost half of ace respondents (44.3%) responded that they had never had a partnered or intimate relationship that was romantic. Just below a third of ace respondents (30.1%) had been in a romantic relationship in the past, while 18.2% were currently in one at the time of the survey. A small percentage (5.0%) of ace respondents were unsure, and even fewer (2.3%) did not differentiate between romantic and non-romantic relationships.
When asked about previous partnered or intimate relationships, the vast majority of ace respondents (68.3%) had not had a non-romantic partnered or intimate relationship. One in nine ace respondents were unsure (11.8%) or had been in a non-romantic relationship in the past (11.1%). Even fewer ace respondents were in one currently (6.2%) or did not differentiate between romantic and non-romantic relationships (2.6%).
When looking at different identities and their responses to the previous two questions, a contrast between the responses to the two questions emerges. The answers to whether respondents had been in a non-romantic relationship were relatively similar regardless of identity, while the answers to whether respondents had been in a romantic relationship varied. A high percentage of non-ace respondents were in a romantic relationship currently (45.4%), followed by demisexual respondents (35.5%). Aro aces had the lowest percentage with 10.3% in a relationship currently, followed by asexuals with 15.4% of respondents. Over half of aro aces had never been in a romantic relationship (55.5%) along with about half of asexuals and aces (48.1% and 44.3%, respectively). Non-ace respondents featured the lowest percentage of respondents never being in a romantic relationship (20.3%), followed by demisexuals (23.2%) and graysexuals (28.8%).

Across all asexual, demisexual, graysexual, and questioning subgroups, the percentage of respondents who had not had any consensual sexual encounters in the previous year ranges from 32.0% for demisexual to 45.6% for asexual respondents. In general, across all subgroups there is a decrease in the percentages as the frequency increases. For example, among asexual respondents, 13.0% indicated they had engaged in consensual sex β1-2 times,β but only 5.3% reported engaging βat least 50 times.β A notable exception is seen in demisexual respondentsβ answers, in which the variation is more limited, from 11.5% for β1-2 timesβ to 9.2% for βat least 50 times,β peaking at 16.0% who selected β11- 25 times.β
