OK that was nuts. Scrolling along and stopped me in my tracks. I know that scene... :-)

On the other platform, I use a specific filter to show me every post by someone I follow in timeline order, does anyone know of filters like that on this feed? It cuts out all the noise of what I don't follow (and the ads).
Good lookin' jets aren't they :-)
That was a cool one. 37 mile increments out to 260 miles. Definitely testing a capability versus expected results. Test and Eval is a different beast altogheter.
Great to see your post. Sorry to drop this. Just chowed 6 "smoked pulled pork" refried "Carnitas" style with Chile de Arbol powder, cumin and homemade hot sauce. I'm stuffed and want to eat 6 more....
Ya'll gonna hate me, so be it. Wild Rice Black Bean Chipotle Chicken tacos are a thing. Standing my ground right now. @paintingsurfer.bsky.social
Np pics, but I have a nice harvest of peppers going this year. Hot sauce in the future...
FTX-26a. Tracking exercise for the new LRDR at Clear. C-17 air launched ballistic target ๐
I haven't done Tequila in 30+ years, but I do remember the difference between "good" and the rest.
Hey @paintingsurfer.bsky.social it's Taco Tuesday! Shrimp tacos going down right now....
It's what we call baseline sampling. Periodic collection along a defined route. The data allow you to establish the "normal", in case you need to look for something abnormal. They go about once a year to add to the data and look for changes. 64-14831 is doing the same thing today
After a RON at Offutt, which was a bit surprising since they will need to refuel for the hop home (Bangor is a favored stop), ZZ665 is back in the air and outbound for home.
Rivet Joint 63-9792 is up out of Greenville as Shiner-40 to begin its flight test program following programmed depot maintenance. It arrived at the end of May, 2023 and 17 1/2 months is good time and helps put the L3Harris team back on track for PDM durations.
At this time, the High Altitude Observatory aircraft have not deployed to support the test as they did in 2023. Airborne support may have been transferred over to former RQ-4 Global Hawks converted into Range Hawk hypersonic missile support aircraft. 5/End
large diameter tubes with 3 AUR's/tube. Completion was recently delayed to 2026/7 and one has to consider that launch hardware failures have contributed to the delays. Current plans envision CPS fielded onto the 3 Zumwalt destroyers and Virginia Class SSN's. 4/5
Lockheed Martin has been working feverishly to redesign the launcher and mitigate the causes of the last two LRHW test failures.
The USS Zumwalt, (DDG 1000), is currently in Pascagoula Mississippi having at least one of the two 155mm Advanced Gun systems removed and installing 4 (3/5)
JFC-2 and 3 are planned to be conducted from the Army LRHW launch platform. The first attempt was in March 2023 and the second was in September 2023, both attempts to complete JFC-2 were cancelled due to "hardware" issues with the launch platform. 2/5
The LRHW teams appear to be ready to try to get Phase 1 CPS testing back on track. The Navy semi-successfully conducted JFC-1 in June 2022 with a launch from the Pacific Missile Range Facility in Hawaii. The AUR launched but telemetry was lost during a portion of the flight. 1/5
RAF Rivet Joint ZZ665 as RRR7120 is outbound from NAS Fallon after participating in Resolute Hunter 25-1. Expect a RON somewhere stateside with a second flight leg to Waddington tomorrow.
Rivet Joint flight crew trainer (TC-135W) 62-4129 up again today for additional pattern work around the airfield. It flew the same profile Friday so it appears they are working on some aspect of the avionics qualification/verification. It's now closing in on 13 months of flight test for this bird.
Looking like a 6 month follow-up to operating out of Diego Garcia around India and South Africa.
More delays for hypersonics...
