Stop buying into the hype that the tech oligarchs are selling to investors to keep the bubble going.

The LLM models have hit a plateau and will not reach AGI through the LLM strategy no matter how much data they give it.

It's like if the wright brothers said we could get to the moon by plane.

If China is providing the US with the resources to make weapons, maybe they see it like "Don't interrupt your enemy while they're in the process of making a mistake" plus that strengthens them while weakening the US but obviously none of us know.

It doesn't seem great morally though.

It bothers me that so many people only have an issue with the process for deciding this war but not the war itself.

Being anti intervention and anti war doesn't mean that you're pro terrorism or dictatorship either.

Yeah I think the ground needs to contrast a bit more from the background and the smoke should be more transparent

I think there needs to be more contrast so players can see the ground better

It’s wrong to vaporize school children even if Congress votes to approve it.

It is education, an educated proletariat wouldn't vote for Trump. An educated proletariat wouldn't allow the bourgeoisie to dominate everyone.

Bureaucrats expand their power to achieve their personal goals even if ideologically their end goal is the elimination of the state. Due to that it's in their interest to resist things that weaken their power in the state just like what happened with OGAS so state power generally increases over time

Communists I've read talk as if workers at large will not be educated enough to be given power until some time far into the future.

Without programs to educate and empower workers in their systems it comes off as overly paternalistic and controlling.

Power corrupts so that's not a good combination

Here's a couple pychology papers that I've read recently that get into the power issue.

Yeah I'm not against the idea of creating a state or a group of socialists seizing power. I'm talking more about how that can actually lead to worker empowerment because the state definitely does not simply wither away and the dynamics are very complicated.

27.02.2026 20:43 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

They still had to seize power because only a minority of workers backed them though right?

I've been reading a lot about the psychological effects of power on people in power and how members of the party negatively viewed the working class and it seems like the organizational structure itself is a big issue to me

Educating as many people as possible and distributing power seems important

27.02.2026 20:32 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 2 πŸ“Œ 0

I've been trying but I sympathize a lot with anarchists and think they make a lot of good points about how vanguardism and democratic centralism over time can begin to serve their own interests rather than the proletariat.

27.02.2026 20:32 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Class consciousness can and should be built through syndicalist preconfiguration, after that then a democratic socialist state could be implemented that protects itself from and dismantles capital just like bourgeois democracies like the US did with their monarchist enemies.

27.02.2026 20:23 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 2 πŸ“Œ 0

That's fair that without class consciousness above even what was in the early days of the Soviet Union, worker democracy would just fall apart.

Why do you think it happened?

27.02.2026 20:11 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 2 πŸ“Œ 0

I'll try to keep an open mind, thanks for taking the time to talk

27.02.2026 20:10 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

It's frustrating because the point of the vanguard party and democratic centralism is to prevent those kinds of takeovers but it happened anyway because of the aligned interests of those in power.

I think anarchist narratives explain it well even if they are simple. Sometimes issues are simple.

I do need to study this stuff more, thanks for sending me these resources.

Dengism was also just another form of Capitalism.

Idk if I'll ever fully agree with Marxists because I don't agree with some stuff like democratic centralism. I just think I might not be a Marxist at the end of the day.

Yeah what happened in the USSR can't really be separated from the necessity of absolute unity and control during WWII and afterwards with the betrayal of the allies but that would also go onto destroy any chance for worker liberation in the USSR.
