It provides an opportunity for the Jesuit Provincial Superior to evaluate the work of its apostolates and strengthen the connection between the Jesuit curia and its various institutions. CJI is the international solidarity agency of the Jesuits of Canada.
The Jesuit Provincial Visit, which takes place every year, is a tradition established by St Ignatius himself.
Despite a record snowfall of 60 cm in the city and surrounding areas the day before, spirits remained high. During the visit, each CJI staff member gave a presentation on their work and heard back from Fr. Burwell and Fr. Penton about the Jesuits of Canada's upcoming plans.
