i think what they say is supposed to be intimidating but..
Extremely thin silver lining is that if an energy crisis pops the AI financial bubble, the second absence may solve the first.

Always good to have a discerning eye, but this instance does pass the fact check (that Iran made that claim and AJ reported on it): www.aljazeera.com/news/2026/3/...
It feels like all the bad parts of the Bush II years are back without any of the Trump bad things going away, which feels grossly unfair.

At London Bridge, you can ask the staff to go to battle
TARGET 12: People in RI always complain about road conditions - and they have a point
FHWA data shows RI had the nationโs worst state roads in 2024, with 32% rated poor
It's so bad RI was literally off the chart in a study

Direct purchases of equities are generally less volatile, unless it's like a meme stock. At the very least if the company goes belly up there's the company's book value for potential reimbursement.
Definitely something to talk to a financial advisor about and not just an internet rando, though!
Eheh, options can be like juggling with knives, with how dangerous on how out-there the contract (bet) is. Your position can win big if you're very right, or get completely wiped out if you're very wrong, or even worse if you borrowed money (margin) to make the bet.
The contracts can also be sold back at any time before the expiration date, which sounds like what p4 did here.
Not a financial expert, though.
Guessing that these are oil index calls (derivatives). Basically buying a contract from someone saying that if an equity/index X goes above price Y before date Z, you can buy at price Y regardless of the actual price and reap the difference.
Very high risk, generally speaking.
there's a thing I like to call "load-bearing assumptions", that you don't notice until they're suddenly gone (e.g the air you breath has oxygen in it).
the post-ww2 order is a load-bearing assumption for basically the entirety of american life. trump took a sledgehammer to it in the last 90 days.
Everyone *says* they want beautiful clothing that is made to last in factories that where workers make a living wage; but vanishingly few people are willing to actually pay for this stuff.
Private equity didnโt kill Toys R Us, Amazon did.

It's mind boggling that Elon killing USAID alone will result in so much death in the next five years that in terms of numbers it'll be equivalent to genociding Gaza multiple times over. And yet the societal reaction to that is... crickets.
It's... a real downer, to put it lightly.
Would've been DOA in the Senate if their War Powers Act vote was any indication. But yeah, four house Dems signing on to Trump's war is obviously horrendous optics
It actually maps the S curve between City Hall and Cortlandt Street pretty nicely
The entire bay area ought to look like a Chinese megacity. It should be the densest and highest population area of the country. There shouldn't be a building shorter than 10 stories within 15 miles of the Salesforce tower
They don't make wheelchairs for free. They definitely don't make motorized ones for free. They don't offer constant nursing care for free. But you can pay someone to invent it to make it and to care.
And that's how I feel about capitalism and technology.
Not as much family dishonor stuff in the Netherlands, I'd imagine
Wow, a transit agency having a direct contact session with enthusiasts ๐ฎ. That sort of thing is unheard of where I am.
As an outsider, I don't have the knowledge to ask informed questions on the transit system myself. But are there any operation or routing inquiries on your mind?
Oh, very interesting!
I never really thought about Kuala Lampurโs transit system. ๐
If you don't mind me asking, what are you looking to bring up with them today?
My dad, cooking kielbasa and potatoes in a pan!
went over to my parents house for dinner again and they made polish street food!
Ah, because someone that's also in the Seattle area and that you follow was looking for people to run with.
Don't know if you're interested interested, but figured I'd toss that on your radar if by chance you are.

Are you interested in running, though?
Not for anything in particular, just, like, literally running
I wonder if anything will ever be able to end mandated full service at gas stations in NJ
I still remember that one time Kanye somehow got Fuentes as his informal PR guy, and then went on InfoWars and somehow out-crazied Alex Jones.
Trump having to wriggle out of that PR pretzel of the Fuentes dinner was funny (in a tragic way that this even became part of reality)
