3rd place. Had forgotten what watching a competent United team was like.

Sweepstake for this week:
Who can predict the exact minute when Joao Pedro falls on his arse in the box so he gets an assist and Palmer can stat pad with another fucking penalty?
Winner earns a sarcastic round of applause and the last of my fucking sanity.
I hope it doesnβt!
Did you transfer them out for that reason? Fair play if so π
Yeh I agree. I also think that it doesnβt help that there is only one genuinely good team in the league and that team is only good at defending and set pieces.
I genuinely havenβt had a single solitary moment of fun playing FPL in about 7 game weeks. Itβs been grim.
Captained ekitike when I found out the Haaland news. Ekitike benched.
This has been an all timer of an FPL season.
It was a pretty big head tbf
January has outstayed its welcome. Beers needed. Happy Friday everyone!
Maybe Scholes and Butt should grow a pair and apologise to Licha Martinez.
πΆπΆWoah-oh-oh itβs Carrick, you knooow! Better than Mourinho!πΆπΆ
We looked better and played decent. How we didnβt win is beyond me.
Such a fucking frustrating season. Sitting in my living room quietly seething.
Our man weaknesses are lapses in concentration at the back and the fact that weβre allergic to 2-goal leads. Never go for the jugular when ahead.
Tim Sherwood said at half time that Sesko shouldnβt be wearing a United shirt.
How do you like them apples you prick?!?!
Ole.
He makes me feel happy. He makes me feel safe. He makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.
Fuck tactics; the football we played and the way I felt when we were managed by him is the closest we got to being the real Manchester United since Fergie left.
Not optimistic today.Leeds playing well, will be hugely up for it 2day and our team/squad with all the missing/absent players looks mid table standard at best.Theyβll never get a better chance at beating us.
Weβre 3pts off 4th but also 3pts off 12th;can see things going south fast.
Hope Iβm wrong.
Just watched clips from Amorims presser and I must say that our prospects look about as bleak as his rhetoric:
πno prospect of injured players returning.
πno signings in Jan
πafcon players still out.
πnegative tactics
Honestly donβt see us beating Leeds or Burnley. Arse and City after that.
Iβm just expressing thoughts on my experience.
Having said this, from a footballing perspective we were shocking. Amorims tactics were utterly baffling.
Disclaimer: Iβm not telling supporters how they should support their team. ST holders and others shell out hard earned πΈ every week and God knows I canβt get up anywhere near as often as I like (couple of times a year at most): when I do now I like to take my kids so itβs a big undertakingβ¦.
We go to see the biggest club on π play at the best stadium, for the history, the possibility of something incredible happening, for the feeling of belonging. Weβre shite at the moment, no getting away from it but maybe sometimes as supporters we should show some of that unconditional support.
I explained to them about how badly we played which they were aware of (theyβre kids, theyβre not stupid).
It does raise the question: why? Why did we travel for hours on end to see United why does anyone turn up? If it was to see the best team in the country weβd all be at the Etihad or Emirates.
No one in our section cheered, chanted or sang louder than they did (including me). For reference we were next to the Stretford End, not in it and they were two of the few I could hear encouraging the team. The were completely bewildered by the booing at the end.
Thoughts on watching United drop points to (arguably) the worst team in PL history:
I was mostly struck by how proud I am of my kids (Olivia 10, Harry 8, my youngest,3, stayed home): they came to support their team and they did for every second, in spite of the dross they were watching.
Pre-match:
Beautiful view of the Costa del Salford from the hotel. Beer and a meal with the kids (lemonade for them) and then a short walk to the Theatre πͺ
