There's also those that had already got their ETA for their Aussie passport and now can't use it.

Possibly to be in line with Schengen, possibly they want people to enter the country using the means by which they will stay here.

The Australian moral panic is a little hypocritical, but at least it has raised awareness. The Canadians in this thread seem to have found out today.

I had forgotten about the Danish post situation.

Three months is too short.

It's brought the UK into line with Australia which has insisted for years/ ever that citizens enter using their Aussie passport.

Also the new Schengen ETIAS system with require Aus-Schengen dual citizens to have a european passport to enter when that comes in.

Passport office is under promising/over delivering at the moment. I applied for mine between Xmas and NY and it took 6 days.

A friend applied from Australia in Jan and they posted back 10 days from when the form was sent.

This was with all documents to hand though.
