I planned to share my report on the body cam footage early next week when I learned that a DC news station had obtained some of the footage as a result of my lawsuit and they were going to scoop me. After working on this for a year, I couldn't let that happen. Published 2 mins before they aired :)

ive been avoiding posting abt him but like. platner is just obvious proof that we never got to choose our "elected" representatives. they were always prescribed to us. if you think you have an actual say in your government, no you dont

This is excellent, and yes, as with many other issues, when it comes to free expression it won't be enough just to roll back Trumpism. When/if reasonable people control the government, we need to make big changes for the better.

Breaking things is easy

Building things is hard

Rebuilding broken things so they are precisely what they used to be is nigh impossible

9 people in front of a Starbucks store show off their union vote papers and celebrate.

FACT: Starbucks has spent unfathomable amounts on union-busting their own workers.

ANOTHER FACT: Baristas are cutting through the corporate BS and continuing to WIN!

Congratulations to workers at Colorado's 14th & Tomichi store - they just won their union!!! ✊πŸ”₯

When Centrists tell you Dems need to use more "common sense" policies, what they mean is we need to be more bigoted and hateful

Yeah, and what this means is that our choices are either to live in a world of chaos and violence or to build a new world-system to replace the old one

πŸ‘‡πŸŽ―πŸ§΅ Trump is destroying our diplomatic capacity & credibility in ways orders of magnitude worse than any of his predecessors.

But also, this is downstream of how we have decided to glorify our military in πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ society on <every holiday> & <at every sports event> while totally ignoring our diplomats.

My kingdom for a Democratic Party that collectively acts as if the crisis tone they take in their fundraising E-mailsβ€”an accurate assessment of the situation!β€”is their true view of the objective actual state of affairs.

Let’s be πŸ’― here:

Democrats would vote with Republicans to remove a D version of Trump.
He or she would be forced out.

The problem isn’t Trump. It’s the entire GOP &we have to start attacking ALL of them. Not this mealy mouth bs of β€˜asking them to β€˜take their party back.’

Make them own it.

It’s a minor comfort, but it comforts me nevertheless,

that I have never gambled with the well being of the world to prove a point.

I ALWAYS vote, and I ALWAYS vote for harm mitigation.

Sometimes I get a candidate I love. Most times I don’t. But I still vote against the greater of two evils

Over 120 people have been hospitalized due to measles in Utah alone. "It is, at this time a real threat in our state and something we can do to stop it," said Dr. Leisha Nolen, state epidemiologist… pleading for people to get themselves and their children vaccinated.” @jackiantonovich.bsky.social

lessons from the first blackout of the green era

lessons from the first blackout of the green era

You can really learn a lot by observing the language of ppl like this

Notice how fossil fuels causing a price spike = "energy" crisis, where renewables merely existing on the same grid as a major blackout = "the first blackout of the green era"
