From Monitoring to Prediction: How Cardiovascular Digital Twins Could Transform Arrhythmia Care
Amanda Randles, PhD,Β explores how cardiovascular βdigital twinsβ could move arrhythmia care beyond reactive monitoring toward proactive, personalized management.
What if arrhythmia care moved from detecting events to anticipating risk? I spoke with Jodie Elrod and the EP Lab Digest team about how cardiovascular digital twins could inform prediction and personalized decisions.

Taking the pulse on less computationally intensive cardiac digital twins
Highly detailed simulations of the coronary artery only need one to two heartbeats to calibrate, rather than the standard five-plus
Led by Nusrat Sadia Khan, our team showed that cardiac digital twins can reach hemodynamic convergence in just 1β2 heartbeats, cutting computational costs and enabling real-time, scalable cardiovascular modeling.
