Yes. It comes with that territory, no doubt. A morally dubious and smarmy world I'm glad I don't have to navigate.

Evergreen. I feel the same about Hilary Clinton - knows more 'stuff' than the Vatican.

Nothing but winter, inside and outside. Blinded by snowy roofs and sparkly icicles dripping into the gutter as if they had a bet running with my nose. And above it all, a barn swallow-blue sky like a promise. Soon.

Das erinnerte mich an ein altes Gedicht, das ich geschrieben habe.

Church of the Holy Cross

Indigenous to this ancient place,
the barn swallow rests in her
hallowed nest of wattle,
lifts her black face to
the chants of my making,
honours time and Him to
fly to a love
that dovetails her.

When you’re going through an old sketchbook and find a beautiful sprig of dried seaweed gathered on a beach walk. #journal #soetchbook #beach #beachwalk #residency #coastal #notes

An art teacher at school used to use the phrase 'the mind's eye' a lot; 'use your mind's eye'. It's a favourite term of mine. The mind's-eye. Love it. With the made-up hyphen.

Thanks Ulrica. I think it could be good paper to work things into...Apart from the fact it smells nice, there's none of that intimidation you get from a blank page.

Amusing myself by drawing in chalk pastels over scented drawer liner paper that belonged to my mother-in-law. #minutiae

So many people at the top just don't know how to behave. Decency, humility and soul just aren't in some people's vocabularies. Urgh. How old are they? Three?

Old neighbour on mobility scooter idling at the roadside.
Me: "Are you waiting for someone?"
Him: "No, I'm just catching my breath".
Aww. You wish you could lend your own sometimes, don't you? But it doesn't work like that.

It's refreshing (like heavy rain in an Andalucian vine terrace region) when a person's agenda is to have little to no agenda
