halftime show
what a shot
What made it such a great show is that it was entertaining and layered and explicitly political with excellent music, delightful surprise guests, stunning sets, a clear narrative, a shout out to ALL of the Americas and a cameo from Belcalis.
Pedro was really feelin' himself. I need to know how he ended up there!
It really was visually stunning, technically masterful, loads of fun, and earnestly meaningful. All-around great -- and upping the bar for future halftime show direction.
We all saw the fellas grindin right? That may be a first for the super bowl.
This thread is lifting my spirits.
"All these journalists with meticulously sourced articles and fact checking standards? A mere smear campaign. This random substacker named Balls McGee has conclusively pieced together the truth that exonerates me."
I read a bunch of that bullshit Substack yesterday so y'all don't have to, and the rando has a section of an "article" about how one of the accusers couldn't have been housing insecure because her cousin rides horses. I wish I was kidding.
furthermore, fuck Neil Gaiman
Famous people who've left bodies under their pedestals can have whatever self image they want. Knock yourselves out, champs. We don't have to validate those distorted and deeply disturbing self-conceptions, not even a little bit.
my thoughts on chappell's grammys outfits are that I respect how often she looks like she's going to star in a cinemax version of xena: warrior princess. this is genuinely high praise
Well!
ICYMI: here's a thread of just a handful of the Soon-Yi and Woody Allen Epstein receipts, which I think are weirder and worse than most coverage is giving them credit for!
This thread is worth a read up and down but this part is obviously particularly sickening
Boy that Woody Allen line about not wanting to belong to any club thatβd have someone like him for a member hits a lil different now
Just a note here at the end: having sifted through some of this stuff for a few hours now, I think it's pretty clear that Allen wasn't the only one using his own email, and potentially rarely used it himself. I think the ;) faces and coded comments were Soon-Yi, based on strong context clues.
That's still dying?
I'll have to take a break from all this soon and hope someone else picks up the story, but here's confirmation that Allen and Previn had already taken more than one plane trip with Epstein by 2013.
Jesus Christ, it was Epstein who told Soon-Yi and Woody that Thaddeus Farrow died.
They also talk about the Hermes Apple Watch so, so much.
I haven't found more on the White House visit because these files are an absolute maze, but I have found plenty of indications that MeToo and various rape cases came up. At one point, Allen's email sends Epstein's a link to this story with no comment or context. www.cnn.com/2018/09/18/u...
Did I just discover one of the weirdest potential blackmail conspiracy crossovers of my lifetime while laying in bed on a Saturday morning, or is someone already covering this and I missed it?
I'm sorry, did Epstein facilitate a trip to the WHITE HOUSE for Woody and Soon-Yi?!
Some more insight into the media alliance that seems to have existed between the two, as a seemingly unprompted email from Allen's camp tells Epstein to be wary of Howard Stern.
In the same 2016 conversation in which someone from Woody Allen's email muses aloud about how Jeffrey Epstein could die anytime, they also tell him to put something in his will.
At one point it seems like Epstein had a team of people trying to figure out who might have leaked the news that he had dinner with Allen, something that someone from Allen's camp was clearly monitoring as well.
At least she's worried about Epstein's health in case something happens to him, am I right, guys?
Sorry, I can't be reading all of this right. Did Soon-Yi (or someone else using Allen's email) get Epstein to buy her an Apple watch and furs, and try to have him get a friend's son into college? I wonder why casual neighbors having casual dinner would do such a thing...
