One of my 2026 goals is to spin one finished yarn every month so I don’t spend most of the year ignoring it.
Here’s the first, an 2ply from a batt where one ply was broken up and organized with stripes, and the other was all vibes spun from the rolled up batt. Batt from The Foldout Cat 🧶
It’s 2026 and I’m doing my annual post of the icicles that existed at Olafs Snow Fest in California Adventure before being taken down after the season. I think this was 2015-16. So happy 10 years to these.

A colorwork, handknit hat with a motif of acorns in two shades of green being worn on Deidre’s head. Yarn used: Ula+Lia DK, 100% camel in moss and 85/15 sheep/cashmere in olive Needles: 3.00mm and 2.75mm My gauge runs really, really loose and this yarn plays more like a worsted weight rather than the labeled DK. Regardless, the hat is still nice and soft~
A pattern I recently test knit has been released and it’s really cute and it means a lot to knit something cute in your life. 🧶

Certainly! Cuff is picked up and knit at one end and the toe is done at the other. Measure the foot up from the start of the toe and pick up stitches as for an afterthought heel. I’ve used previously made vanilla socks to accurately measure my preferred foot length to know where the heel goes.
