Are you telling me that for every action there is an equal reaction?

(I'm aware of how lucky I am to have a job, get a bonus, and still capable of feeling absolutely fucking miserable about what is being done with my tax dollars)
Happy Friday everybody! Whatever you do, don't think about how much of your just deposited bonus check is being used to murder Persians, and shove Latino kids into concentration camp cages.
Dad & Teri are much more boring. Exchanged numbers, dated. She was pretty and "unchallenging". Also had a kid my age. They've had a very by-the-book marriage for very nearly 50 years now. Including adding my half-sister 1 year into the marriage (somehow she's just had her 29th b-day.. again)
My mom told me that her and Everett (step-dad) ended up hanging out for something like 60 straight hours over the weekend. She went on one date with one other dude after that, and realized she was very much into the Musician instead.
Both my Mom and Step-Dad & Dad and Step-Mom met at Parents without Partners events. My understanding is they were just like simple dances for divorcees.
They were teenagers when they had me, divorced before I was 3. Both 2nd marriages happened the year I turned 5 and were successful.
Me mean mugging Mickey Mouse in a safari outfit.
March 2020. The news is building, weβve already spent all this money for a Disney trip and Joco cruise. i called that whole vacation #ResponsibilityIsOverrated
Old nerdy dude amongst tchotkes talking about how much his job and life have changed over 20 years. Edited down to 2 < 15s soundbites.
My adoring public (coworkers on the same floor at the office) captured a shot of me in the anniversary video they played at our town hall event.
The emoji reactions are evenly split between 'Nerd' and 'Old Man'.
Itβs actually FEWER MisΓ©rables
They're also on Tiny Desk today. I'm all for De La Day!
Love the specificity of sharing not just generic "she was funny and great" (obv. true) but glimpses into what it was like to know her, which sounds like a gift.
"You can be a genius and be kind, and one of those things does not have to come at the expense of the other in any way, shape, or form."
A patent isn't a product. But the fact that they started this process alone is further proof that by allowing all progress on the innards of the Internet to be privately owned was a mistake we will never recover from.
Gotta get there. MUST.MAKE.IT...
Woke up early to get some stuff done. I got it all done in a lot less time than I spent worrying about it. Cool, now I have time to just open up a news site and catch up on the worl.... oh lordy. Oh boy. Oh no.
10 day weather forecast. Cold and rainy today. Then just rainy and highs of 70 for 10 days.
This is some bullshit. 2 weeks until vacation!
Waffle House Good food fast
brunch doesnβt need to be fancy! Just nap inducement and efforts to avoid the world for a few more hours.
Rabbit rabbit.
(Is this thing even on?!)
I have been repeatedly assured theyβll make up for it in volume.
God does Real.
(Seriously, I'm queueing up a rewatch of Strip Law right now)
There is no amount of money in the world that would lead me to fight a Vietnamese refugee that grew up in Louisiana
(Also I really want to try a Korean style Poβ Boy)
If my phone or ms teams corrects DBs to βDibsβ one more time, itβs gonna have its accelerometer tested roughly.
It's been a few days since I last heard the death knell. Is bsky still dying?
Legit made me laugh-smile. And then I got to reread Dan's essay too. Thanks!
Costco should have "just couple" partnering as a feature. Meet your partner pair at a set date, split all the "buy 2" things on your way out. (Don't think this helps with your bakes)
I'll read it! I might even watch the video again (hello Stephanie Seymour!), but on mute.
OK... queued up the youtube playlist. Immediately skipped track one (November Rain. NO THANK YOU)
Windmill
For the record, Strip Law on Netflix is worth your time. Especially if you like to laugh, and occasionally be slightly embarrassed by the things that make you laugh.
Gawain the green knight opening a letter sealed with wax
Little Alex Horne in his studio chair with the caption "so a simple task: land a fair blow anywhere on the green knight. One year later meet him at the green chapel, receive the same blow yourself."
A cut to a wider shot showing Greg Davies in his throne turning to Little Alex Horne subtitled "Well surely no one just ran up and whanged his head clean off."
Cut back to Little Alex Horne subtitled "Let's see Gawain first."
Looks like the original has been swept away by the sands of time.
