Oh lord. And trying to keep their hair dry.
Oh lord. And trying to keep their hair dry.
My in laws used to live over there in the early 2000s. Wild Wadi was the best bit. Sunbathed next to the girls from Liberty X there once. Ah the days before smart phones, social media & influencers…
Might have paid more attention in my O& A Level if phrases like ‘narcotrafic’ were in use back then. That would’ve been an interesting one to drop into conversation ‘J’aime jouer au Netball; j’aime le narcotrafic’
I was very distracted as it sounded like they were calling one of the French Snowboarders ‘Madame Cholet’ That was all very exciting.
I’ve lived in Sheffield for a large chunk of the past 40 years. I feel her pain. Blessed was the day I passed my driving test 😂
Poldark photoshops, Ed Miliband photoshops, no Brexit, Leicester being good at football. Sighs in 2015. Halcyon days.
Sounds grim. Hope you feel better soon.
Have you tried Vicks VapoShower Tablets? It’s sort of like recreating a menthol spa style steam room in your own bathroom. I’m slightly obsessed. Think you’ll can get a bath salts version as well.
one of the best things ever
This White House press conference is quite something. I am transfixed by the sheer horror of it. I’ve been listening to the deranged ramblings of one of the most powerful men in the world for nearly an hour.
If nothing else I am very happy this photograph is doing the rounds again. It makes me giggle. Maybe not quite the intended outcome when the book was published. Glorious in its own, unique (not at all nepo-baby 🤔🙄) way.
"And we now have María on the line who would like to swap a Nobel Peace Prize for the presidency of Venezuela..."
Maybe a very wealthy Hobbit obsessed person who doesn’t fancy moving to New Zealand 🤔 Admittedly quite a niche market. They may be waiting some time to sell.
Don’t know what I’m loving more - that that’s the reduced price 👀 or that it was used to host Grand Designs House of the Year (but wasn’t nominated for house of the year…) It’s certainly a look.
@gailmyerscough.co.uk Hello! Here’s to embracing looking forward not back 😊 Just ordered a mug from your website & when I’ve finished reorganising my office will be back for a print.
A bemused/confused Fox 🤔 sums up most Leicester City supporters this season 🦊🙄😂
Another fab gig. One day I’ll get to say hi & discuss Leicester’s (currently failing) form 🦊😂
See you in Sheffield 😊
This came up in a pub quiz last week. I didn’t know but I do now.
Waiting for a delivery has the added spice of our next door neighbour’s builders blocking our cul-de-sac for concrete pouring. Will the delivery man manage to walk the extra yards to get to our house or will he abandon the task - stranded on the other side
First year at Sheffield Uni in 1986. Knock on the door of my room inside a huge hall of residence and there was a woman who literally tried to sell me lucky Heather (folk used to prop a fire door open to avoid walking to the main door, security tightened afterwards 😂) one & only time it’s happened.
Fun fact. Many many years ago I was travelling across France on my own to go and work at a Campsite on the Vendée and someone gave me that book to read on my journey. I never did read it but think I’ve still got it somewhere. Maybe the time has finally come.
OMG - we were supposed to eat the Eight Hour Cream?!?! That’s where I’ve been going wrong
My adoration of Nic Cage is well known amongst my friends. Hence this fabulous if slightly freaky gift
Tbh I only know who they are cos they’re a local band #Yorkshire Kasabian headlined tonight to bring a bit of Leicester to Sheffield 🤘
@generalboles.bsky.social - seeing as how you’re now a Ralph Ineson stan account, he voiced the intro for The Reytons as they came on stage at Tramlines tonight. All very Yorkshire-tastic
Watching Mix Tape & getting waves of nostalgia for/flashbacks to my Uni days in Sheff in the late 80s. The soundtrack is 👌
Think I first saw him in Playing The Field. Have loved him ever since.
That’s where I recognise them from! Watched the Rick Stein series for tips about where to go in Cornwall & remember them & the folk band/spoken word bit (deffo not my thing) Had never heard of the Salt Path but thought she looked familiar from the recent fallout coverage.
She certainly made Sabalenka dig deep.
