Took it off all devices, only check dm’s from time to time. I don’t miss it. But admittedly, it has been a challenge trying to recreate a visual community. I use Bluesky differently than I did IG, and Flashes is missing the mark. But very glad to be phasing it out!
So sorry to hear this. I am all too versed on the pitfalls of ER visits, but it sounds like a reasonable next step. I keep a spare dräger 1950 on hand with metal nose strip removed for MRI’s just in case. I think the duration may prompt ER docs to look at it more closely. Sending all the best.

Wishing you all the best! I am petite, and the small dräger 1950 is a bit tight to wear for long stretches, but I like to use those for scans because they are snug even without the metal nose clip. The med/lg is my daily for use in crowds and classrooms.
I am not sure if aura will work as my aura has staples on the straps. Hope things go well with your scan.
I use a drager 1950 xplore with the metal band removed from nose. I use medical tape to close the slits left behind. I have had several scans now using that mask set up with no issue. The foam nosepad fits very well even without the band. They should scan the mask prior to ensure it is safe for mri.

Try using the “show me more like this” to train your algorithm to show you more artist posts from followers and in “discover”. It’s under the three dots menu in each post. I have noticed I end up with suggested content that is literally of no interest to me periodically…”show me less of this” works!
I think the trick is to create a starter pack of artists you follow and set it up to follow separately. I have been debating getting Flashes started over here, but am not inclined to overcomplicate things! Let me know how things go!
Glad to see you here! Downloaded but trying to determine if I should use a separate email for it. I am inclined to let everything merge for now. But I sort of wonder if Flashes is needed. I am ready to permanently delete instagram just looking for simplicity in moving forward to find community.

Right there with you. I feel like it is mostly a shopping app now. I will check in on my computer for messages here and there, but logged out and deleted the app from my phone. I don’t miss it. This is helpful to know. As a visual artist I want to recreate my presence away from instagram but am waiting to see what might be the best fit. I came here for the science and I mostly use bluesky to read research and news updates but I am ready to shut down my last account outside of bluesky.
