Heading: "COVID 6 Year Anniversary"
Text reads: "March 11 marks 6 years since the WHO declared COVID a global pandemic.
Since March 11, 2020, we have suffered over 7 million unnecessary deaths and over 777 million cases of Long COVID worldwide. We’ve also borne witness to the ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people. Here in the United States, we watch money that we pay in taxes, now over 20 billion dollars, sent without restrictions and spent on the bombing of schools, hospitals, and press, in Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, and now Iran."
Teal People's CDC logo in top right corner
"We’ve seen war rage in the Congo and Sudan–the result of capitalist extractivism. We’ve seen our country devolve into authoritarianism, with the current administration committing extrajudicial killings at home, in the Caribbean, and now in the eastern Pacific. We’re now witnessing the starvation of the Cuban people with a decades-long blockade that’s escalated and intensified, and the pursuing of regime changes by military intervention in Venezuela and Iran.
We’re watching ICE kidnap, detain, and murder our neighbors. We’ve seen historically devastating storms with catastrophic and deadly wind and flooding. We’ve seen skies turn blood red and air quality turn toxic as wildfires ripped through Boreal forests and smoldered in permafrost."
Teal People's CDC logo in bottom right corner
"Six years of preventable illness and death, increasing authoritarianism, environmental devastation, and war.
Meanwhile, we have continued to work, to love, to learn, to raise our children, to care for our loved ones, to buy our groceries, to grow, to fight.
Let us all take a breath."
A message on the 6 year anniversary of WHO's designation of COVID as a global pandemic.

March is Long Covid awareness month, and one thing you should probably be aware of is no matter how back to normal you are, you are at risk of complications from Covid, including LC. And those excess death numbers aren’t great either.

Casey Means is a crank-charlatan and should be wholly rejected by the Senate as Trump's nominee for Surgeon General.

something abled people don't get is you can have just one day a week where you are too sick to work, and that's enough to disqualify you from nearly all full-time jobs. it doesn't take a lot

"a thing of the past".
It reduces a complex, ongoing health issue to a false, easy-to-share statement. It sticks because the message provides comfort by suggesting the threat is already over."

I really don’t see a worse red flag for how things are going to go with the concentration camps than a very recent issue where people insisted, loudly and publicly, that their need for coffee shops and concerts superseded vulnerable people’s right to life.

A lot of people, including me, were wondering how an IRB could ever approve this study.
The answer is that no IRB did. The person who “signed off” on approval from the only ethics board that reviewed it had resigned three years earlier. His signature was used without his knowledge.

I often see this insult towards #COVID advocates (usually @ someone w Long COVID):
"You make your whole personality about COVID!"
Would you say that to cancer survivors? People who organize walks for breast cancer or mental health?
"You make depression your whole personality"? Like what the fuck.

ICE just showed up at our house for the second day in a row. Four cars yesterday, today five. They rolled up slow, then got out to taunt us, and take pictures of the house. They want fear to overwhelm us, to project a fantasy of power meant to intimidate, isolate, produce obedience—not happening.

Look I know this is going to be hard here but rigid adherence to lies about Covid is going to push you to the right. It has to. The eugenicist ideas that we can abandon the vulnerable and that vaccine mandates and lockdowns weren’t necessary because only “those people” died can never be democratic.
