So who's checking or asking these people why they accessed files? And as a medical transcriptional...sometimes had like surgeons with accents or sloppy dictation and wasn't sure what they were saying.....so I might look up another one of their OR reports to get a clue about their terminology.
How do u know why any of them looked up anything? And files never crossed my desk as a medical transcriptionist....i might have had to look at their file to check/clarify something a doctor said.
There may be legit reasons someone in healthcare 'snoops'. Mistakes are made all the time, sometimes you need to clarify something. I was a medical transcriptionist and drs are sloppy dictators. U may catch things that sound odd and need to clarify all kinds of things including meds and dosages.
