The first track from NHC for PTC Nine, which is likely to become Imelda, indicates the storm approaching the coast next week and slowing down, which would drive the flood threat higher. Much uncertainty remains, and this track will be refined. Monitor forecast updates this weekend!

With very heavy rain moving into downtown, a Flood Advisory is now out there that will last through midnight. Roads could flood quickly. Never cross a flooded road, especially at night!
NWS has expanded the Heat Advisory inland and upgraded areas closer to the coast, including Charleston, Mt. Pleasant, Daniel Island, and Hanahan, to an Extreme Heat Warning. Heat indices within the warning area could top out between 112-116°. Be safe and hydrated, folks!
PSA: Apple Weather is flat-out wrong on the heat index/“feels like” temperature. An air temperature of 87° with a dewpoint of 78° yields a heat index of 100°. Not sure what or where their calculation is coming from, but rest assured, it is underdone.
Extreme heat is expected across the Charleston area on Sunday, with air temperatures approaching 100° and heat indices at or above 115°.

The gist of this is that the large majority of RE companies/brokerages/teams outsource their tech to 3rd party providers who historically are not enthusiastic about 2-way data sharing. Co's need to change the narrative: we will share our data w/ you as long as your product works as advertised.
