I've been in groups like that before. When I was younger mainly but usually it's the people who dont actually make ocs even if they got art of a character. It's a trophy or game piece. For other groups I was in it was no AUs allowed (dA based ttrpg groups) glad to see more doing what you are

I never understood having to stop using your ttrpg characters in stories after one campaign ended. AUs, original settings, afterstory. So much possibility and potential for something you already put months or years into
