Ah yes, the edition that started it all for me. The SRD changed everything for this game, and I still remember most of the tables and I made algebraic formulas to memorize every class feature and stat bonus. I was the walking DMG and PHB for our playgroup back then.

In unrelated techno necromancy news...my headphones haven't been able to charge for 3 months, but they randomly charged today, and I'm honestly unsure what allowed it to charge again. TAKE THAT UNIVERSE! I guess? Maybe it's the universe giving me mercy for all my endeavors.

Makes me think of taking the concept of squad based stories like in Band of Blades as the "turrets" and then throwing the hordes and seeing when they overrun before we cut to the next group.

I know of it and still dream about the day I get to try it.
