I read this during lockdown, a rich and tightly constructed novel- ideal for when you cannot get out into nature so much!
Have you ever considered audiobooks? I am running out of looks unfamiliar eps!
I watched Pendaβs Fen because of one of your podcasts and will therefore forever be in your debt!
Help is not the greatest movie in the world but a massively underrated album

I fell asleep to this last night, but it was fascinating up to the point where i lost consciousness! Will need to try to pick up the second half. Resisted the temptation to snuggle down in the duvet and start saying βpostmanβ!
A rust-coloured, tall sculpture by Halima Cassell in the garden of the Hepworth Gallery, Wakefield, with Stu - a blonde haired person squeezing their face in the corner for a selfie
Halima Cassell sculptures are ace!
@elizabethlovatt.bsky.social Iβm β€οΈing your Lesbian Line book! Got about 80 pages left & am a bit narked that I have to go to work tomorrow instead of finishing it.
That 12β of 2 Tribes was great. chilling even with Mr Brittas narrating most of it. Is it the best 12β ever though? Does it have Stealinβ as a b side?
I read Galatea by @madelinemiller.bsky.social yesterday and then watched Mannequin again.
Title page of the memoirβNina Simoneβs Gumβ by Warren Ellis, signed by the author
I read #NinaSimone βs Gum by @warrenellis.bsky.social today. Fabulous book i have meant to read for ages. Just gone for a run listening to her Philips recordings and heard Pirate Jenny in a whole new light. Wondering if the recording of the Meltdown concert has appeared yet.
I have seen her play twice, she is so good! Her first album is also more than worth your time

βI have in my hand a piece of paperβ
My mum died of alzheimerβs early Tuesday. My head is a mess. I wrote this poem after visiting the @foundlingmuseum.bsky.social @poetrywales.bsky.social published it. Itβs weird to be posting this. I am reading Joyceβs Dubliners at the moment, in a roundabout way it has prompted me to do so.
I am currently using this photo to argue why we should get a cat
@vickymackenzie.bsky.social finished your book this afternoon. So beautiful to read, so well balanced. I live about a 10 min walk from Julianβs church - could picture the streets so well. The line about the cabbages when Margery is travelling to Norwich made me laugh!
That Hot Chocolate track is great. I can see Bowie ripping it off. Good to hear Pank again!
I finished the Anne BrontΓ« this tea time. Such brilliant prose, sharp, punchy & witty.
Interesting conversations in our house when Ricken from Severence gets confused with Dicken from The Secret Garden
So sorry Laura, only just seen this. We have had a few problems with the log ins through eventbrite
The heating broke down i. The hall where it should have been! They played very loud!

Some pics from @listencambridge.bsky.social last night. Elliot Galvin, Ruth Goller, Sebastian Roachford & Mandhira De Saram made some incredible sonic art! The original congregation of the beautiful Unitarian Church would be amazed to hear such sounds from instruments they recognise.
We're not in Narnia anymore. #CSLewis's 'modern fairy tale for grown-ups' warns of a world where technocrats are kings. That Hideous Strength, dramatised by Melissa Murray, with a great cast led by Anneika Rose & Joel MacCormack 3pm Sun 9 Feb @BBCRadio4 #audiodrama www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m...
A Hardback copy of The Space Trilogy, by C S Lewis, on a yellow tablecloth.
I read the Space Trilogy over Christmas. They are not perfect books, but when they are good they are good. That Hideous strength was my favourite of them, evoking memories of reading Wyndham, Orwell and Susan Cooper. Will tune in!
A woodcut style print of Oscar Wilde
Just received a brilliant print of #OscarWilde by the artist Katherine Anteney. β€οΈ do you recognise it @hazardpressuk.bsky.social ?!
