Every third @armytimes.bsky.social cover for my entire career was about the Army’s next rifle.
We’ve changed the PT test like six times in as many years.
Two new camouflage patterns in 15 years.
Still less wasteful than the Navy.

That’s a solid recommendation! Lots of P&R characters could be used as character studies, good or bad.
And we’ve all known that one specialist who was Jean-Ralphio.
Honestly, later seasons of Parks and Rec. Leslie is a great character study in being an enthusiastic subordinate who can will a project into fruition AND the impact that truly caring for people can have.
Alright, ya crazies! Horseshoe around me!
For our next episode, we want to know your favorite non-professional professional media. What books or films or shows or whatever would you include in professional development that you wouldn’t find on a reading list? And why do you recommend it?
If you thought the Coalition Provisional Authority in Iraq was bad, wait until you have some ridiculously unqualified Trump appointee trying to be in charge of Gaza.
And the perennial question: what’s going to happen when American GIs start coming home in body bags?
A $45M North Korean-style military parade party for Trump’s birthday.
Further politicizing our troops.
And definitely not efficient.
Where’s DOGE on this one?
Part of the frank discussion about #trauma and #PTSD we had in our last episode. It’s important to share our experiences with people we trust; unburdening ourselves of this idea that no one could understand is critical to moving forward from our trauma.
Spider-Man meme but for who screwed the pooch

The PLAN landing fleet is within unaided sight of Taiwan’s shore and pushing ahead at full steam. Woke bullshit like carriers and jets and armored brigades have disappeared under SECDEF Hegseth, but the PLAN is not unopposed.
A 24 year old hungover SEAL with gonorrhea locks and loads.
This has been another reckless, unnecessary, insulting and hugely disruptive mess.
As a 9/11 first responder myself, I continue to be flabbergasted by the outrageous new lows that our community experiences every year.

This is a dark time for our transgender comrades in arms. If that’s you, know that we see you, we hear you, we value you, we appreciate you. Please don’t internalize the terrible things that bigots say about you. You are loved and valued. We will always fight for you.
This is wrong in two ways.
First, strategic uncertainty isn’t something you DO, it’s something you STRUGGLE AGAINST. You want to AVOID strategic uncertainty, not embrace it.
Amateurs with not even a 101-level understanding of what they’re doing.
He’s shooting the same pachycephalosaurus embryo at you that his great-grandfather shot at the Britosauruses
Personally very excited about the prospect that DoD will never acknowledge the damage done in the wake of this administration once they’re gone and never do anything to prevent such things from happening again in the future while carrying on as if everything was normal so as not to appear partisan
Hegseth is an interesting study in hero worship and succumbing to 3 decades worth of a PR campaign designed to make SOF the answer for everything because they look cooler. He’s praising a single tool in the toolbox because it’s more expensive.

Hey kid
You want to hear a great interview about America bumbling its way through counterinsurgency in the Pech River Valley and greater Nuristan Province, Afghanistan?
Come right this way
(We also talk about eating the Pillsbury Doughboy and say nice things about each other)
Every time I listen to something I’ve recorded
Well wouldja look at that?

This episode with @wesleymorgan.bsky.social is going to be amazing.
@dpoejr.bsky.social is still working the editing to make me look just a bit less handsome so to avoid overwhelming our viewers but we should be dropping it soon!
Watched “Winter on Fire” again to remind myself of Ukraine’s resolve to be a free, sovereign nation

You can give a platoon-level ambush OPORD on two hours sleep. Fantastic. Let me see your counseling packets for your subordinate leaders. Let me see a training calendar. Let me see your command climate surveys.
That’s pretty gross, brother. The Army is probably long overdue for a discussion about what it means that Ranger School is seen as the “premier leadership” school in the service when it doesn’t really seem to teach much in the way of leadership and even that in very narrow circumstances.
Thanks, Peter! We’re going to try to keep delivering a solid mix of deep discussion, humor, fun, and informative content that people will enjoy. Glad to have you with us!
Great first episode. The good looking one talked about knowing that his worst day is behind him, and the peace that comes with that, but also how the worst day still affects him. Profound. Looking forward to future episodes!
