Itβs a great utility for looking at databases - if people are going to cheat when playing then they only disappoint themselves - I learned a lot of my coding by taking apart other games and the zx81 rom! Just make sure all bundled software has the relevant pointers to current licences.
What a great video - who knew⦠John always has a great sense of humour
The start of a big adventure!
This lovable little Spectrum has embarked on a trip around the world where it will visit many retro and vintage tech people along the way.
Started off by @2600.me who handed it to me, it's visited the @retrocollective.co.uk and is now in the safe hands of YARC Todd.

It's just one week to go! It's getting full, though. We have more tickets available for Sunday, and itβll be almost exactly* the same wonderful exhibitors. If youβre just coming one day, please consider coming Sunday, to ensure everyone gets to come to our event! www.retrofest.uk/tickets.php
Do you need some teletext advertising? π
The physicality of computing used to be so satisfying. The clunk of closing the drive lock, the click of the on/off button, the scritching of the dot matrix printer, the zzzip as you pull off the tractor feeds, the snik snik of the floppy door snapping shut. The squeaky zipzip of the hard drive. Sigh
Is this another assertion that a famous actor is maybe coming along?
Isambard Kingdom Brunel would like to remind you that it's just TWO WEEKS until RetroFest! retrofest.uk
I am ridiculously excited to see this. It's one of those machines I was just sure I would never see in the flesh. 6803 and 8088 CPUs, maybe only 125 built. More info here - randoc.wordpress.com/2011/03/05/m... - thanks to @retrokrazy.bsky.social for bringing it!
