CCUS is a decarb policy. You may disagree with it - I do I donβt think itβs value for money but you canβt say theyβve abandoned net zero and then point to a carbon reduction policy. Swift boxes regardless of your view nothing to do with emissions! Planning protections also accelerate renewables

Some idiot couldn't be bothered to drive their vehicle safely and did this to one of Camden's mature street trees. Very frustrating. π‘

It'll be hard to have any faith in this trial at this rate. Good work (as ever) from Cathy Newman.
This is stenography, not news reporting. The BBC ought to provide some context, such as putting the scale of the changes which Reform claim are possible into context. This omits the major policy of revoking ILR and deporting legal migrants at unprecedented scale.

Too many ppl want identities to be like hermetically sealed jars: never to interact, strictly defined & accessible only to select members of a group. But life isn't like that & we shouldn't let it go that way!
Victim-blaming never helps. Weβre rightly appalled when it happens in crime such as sexual assault β and we should be equally horrified when it happens in road danger. Stop blaming those harmed. Focus on dangerous drivers & build a culture that respects cycling & the wider benefits of active travel.
Quite. Not sure why people are laughing at her. The fact that Jones finds this hilarious (and that he's chosen to share this) is very telling.
Itβs not right that tourists are being charged rip-off fares for a pedicab ride.
Iβve long called for regulations on pedicabs and from October TfL is bringing them in, making sure the industry is safer and fairer.
...and the British Beer Party.
There is a concerted attempt to promote a myth that the Equality Act is disadvantaging particular groups, especially white men. I will let you form your own views as to what motivates that narrative. What I can say is that it is neither what the Act aims to do nor what it does. / end
Apparently a load of nonsense is being talked about Tony Blair and his 50% 'target' for universities. Yet again. Want a proper, nuanced take not written by Cthulu-style monsters and frauds? Well there's a NEW BOOK for that! π€£ www.amazon.co.uk/New-Labour-B...

We all deserve dignity in love.
We all deserve dignity in joy.

It's actually outrageous BBC Politics London refers to "jaywalking pedestrians". NO ππ» SUCH ππ» THING ππ» AS ππ» JAYWALKING ππ» EXISTS ππ» IN ππ» THE ππ» UK!
Don't place the blame on the vulnerable party here.

I will die on this hill: medal is a noun not a verb.
Trans exclusion is not the law, and this ruling confirms this. The government must now urgently update outdated workplace regulations to ensure they are consistent and enable trans people dignity at work.
I saw some of the Holborn Liveable Neighbourhood improvements. Not just vital safety schemes at collision blackspots, but also plans for new walking routes, pedestrianisation, outdoor eating & lots of greening.
New SUDs are working too - weeks of rain & not a puddle in sight!

1.3GW onshore wind from a standing start is great, a new record. Only 2 of those are in england, after the effective ban was removed you'll expect that pipeline to grow rapidly over the next few rounds - still capable of coming online before 2030 (unlike offshore which takes longer to build)
Tomorrow - we launch the biggest investment in community energy in British history.
The Local Power Plan will build wealth and power in communities across the country - driven by communities, for communities, supported by Great British Energy.
Jimmy Lai has spent more than 1800 days in solitary confinement.
Heβs a 78 year old man with multiple health problems.
This is an appalling abuse of human rights and Lai should be released by the Hong Kong authorities. He and his loved ones deserve an end to this cruel ordeal.
