i hate when liberals pull shit like that. i know part of it is because its a sensitive topic for me but you'd think we would have less credentialism when the two worst presidents of the last 50 years went to fucking yale and wharton.

The Poor People's Campaign's Moral Budget was a huge step forward in how we think about progressive and leftist politics in the US. We need to update, expand, and use it in our efforts to ensure a better tomorrow for the US

The correct response when it comes to whataboutism is and should always be "I don't care"

Welp - since the person who chimed in has now blocked me, I'll just respond here. The idea that you can't criticize Obama because he's speaking at a eulogy is pathological. He's the former President of the United States. Grow up

Bullshit. Even if they do, economic damage is irreparable. This money would not fix the destroyed businesses, and it certainly will not be going to the consumers who actually paid the costs of the tariffs in most cases. At most, this will be a windfall for large companies able to weather the storm

Seeing so much nostalgia for the government we had when Obama was in office is nauseating

06.03.2026 20:19 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Also embarrassing that Obama has become so many people's go-to for how our government should be run. Civility is great, but not poisoning, bombing, or deporting people should really be the message we take away from all this

06.03.2026 20:16 πŸ‘ 7 πŸ” 1 πŸ’¬ 3 πŸ“Œ 0

The idea that we should be focusing on one issue or solution at a time is degenerate

Matter of fact, the folks saying "the administration is distracting you from [x]" are PRECISELY the people trying to distract you with [x]

06.03.2026 18:52 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

At this point, I think we can safely assume that anybody calling anything this administration does a "distraction" isn't paying attention. Grow up, folks. The heinous things they're doing are not sleight of hand - they're just the gameplan

Revolution being imminent or not doesn’t make the revolutionairy theory of change false

It just means we have to tirelessly struggle to get there

It means we can’t be deluded about the path forward and that we have to build the movement to make it imminent

These people genuinely think they are going to reform capitalism and then a socialist gets in office and they are like wait I can’t do anything at all about the cops what kinda snail pace do you expect to reform capitalism to socialism at. We are going to die bro

Companies consolidating property just to make it scarce so they can rent it back to everyone else for a profit is one of the four horsemen of an economic apocalypse

A screenshot from vast.ai offering to rent out the RTX 5090 for $.37 per hour

A gigantic problem with all of the hardware being consolidated in data farms is that, when the AI bubble does pop (it will), the only way to be productive with existing software will be to rent from the neo-feudalists that now own everything. Consumer hardware supply chains and inventory are gone

Hahahaha - can't wait to see how this goes for the Trump Admin. Ironically, Nintendo's IP litigators don't play games. Will the company accidentally use their powers for good this time?

If we want real change, we can have it in the short term, but only if we make a concerted effort to do away with the opportunists and sophists in favor of true scientists and theorists

WaPo is worse than garbage since Bezos bought it, and all of the people still working or writing for it should just be ignored

Among other things, the post office does not post mark things same day anymore unless you go inside and ask a person to post mark it that day. The Trump admin will argue that a lot of votes which were cast by mail on time were cast late using this issue
