We need to remember that people's lives aren't about TTRPGs. Ours might be, sure, but the majority of people are just looking for smth to do with their buddies on a Friday night. We should be making that easier for them and enabling them to tell better stories rather than nitpicking each other.
I say this as someone who doesn't play 5e.
The people who only play 5e are fine. They don't NEED to try different systems. It isn't a moral failing. They're doing what they like. Stop giving a shit and just worry about what YOU like.
