*nodding* I bet you do
I misread "Warhammer hotspots" as
"Warhammer hoteps"
I was flooded with visions of a different world.
a song is like an entity and a recording of the song is like a sigil representing that entity. a song is semi-sentient and something like a construct. very powerful songs are entities akin to angels and demons
NDAs should be illegal
2026 requires a sequel to Masked and Anonymous
i got invited to a group that gets a random classic album every day and you can review it and see others' reviews. i'm out here writing essays and everyone else is like "4 stars, i wouldn't put this on willingly but it was fine" and "1 star, british accent" i don't need this energy in my life lmfao
Accountability for these people must be public and permanent. they must be removed from society by any and all means necessary
my mistake for not leaving SlurChat when I got added to it
You were significantly ahead of the curve considering the state of music at the time
Girl Talk the mashup guy?
a pudgy dude who barely resembles Keith Jarrett in haircut alone sits in front of a piano, threatening to play
lmao somebody gave the A Complete Unknown style biopic treatment to Keith Jarrettβs Koln Concert. Iβm dying at this still
pretty sure it was the Ghostbusters soundtrack
Del, Mike D, Mike Watt and Mascis on Arsenio

lol Happy Walters, producer of the Judgement Night soundtrack smelled a hit and kept going
It was a lot of fun!
Anyway thatβs it! 11 out of 11 cuts were well worth listening to. I need a copy!
Cypress Hill & Pearl Jam - Real Thing
Cypress the only group to get an encore, theyβre paired with an unrecognizable Pearl Jam. Vedder stays quiet so basically PJ is a backing band. Good bassline, VERY weird nah nah nah vocal hook which seems more like something an 80s arena rock act would do.
Iβll listen to it tomorrow before work
Itβs so good Iβve listened to it 4 times already
Therapy? and Fatal - Come and Die
I know the least about these acts, and donβt recall hearing this cut before. Itβs a lot like the Onyx one but still good
Del tha Funky Homosapien & Dinosaur Jr.
just because J. is in depression mode doesnβt mean Del has to be. In fact, across the board I think playing with rappers gets most of the bands to groove more than they would on their own. I wish DJr wouldβve ridden the backbeat more often. Anyway, great cut.
Kimβll do it
Sir Mix A Lot & Mudhoney - Freak Momma
Oh hell yeah Seattleβa Finest! Real heads know Mix himself was an early adopter of rap-rock as he covered Iron Man on his β88 album SWASS (feat. fellow seattleites Metal Church). Anyway this is a blast and completely out of left field with a surf-psych feel
JUDGEMENT NIGHT BITCH
my recollections of the body count albums were not fond ones. I saw them live though and they were incredible
The greatest soundtrack ever when youβre fleeing Denis Learyβs multi-ethnic inner-city gang with your pal Jeremy Piven
Sonic Youth & Cypress Hill - I Love You Mary Jane
SY lays down an extremely mellow groove & B-Real does what he does best: rhapsodizes about weed. They were wise to let Kim coo over the track, though itβs easy to imagine Thurston steaming after being talked out of rapping
Ahhh explains a lot
