Looking back was cathartic, informative, and transformative for me. I carried a lot of pain and shame about my being gay for far longer than I thought. By looking back, and taking the time to write it all out, I made a bunch of connections that have helped me feel better about my decision to let go.
What was left of my relationship with my family fell apart during Trump 1.0. The divide between our ethics was too great. I'm a gay man. When he got in again - I did a deep dive into my family history and what finally broke us apart. The loss of my relationship with my sister was particularly hard.

Was quite the challenge keeping all the threads together across 300 pages and 48 years. May have to find (or teach!) a course on figuring that out. Off to legal for review. Then will take me about a week per episode to record and produce. Going to drop all 6 at once by end of September. 🤞

I've just finished the draft for a 6 part story arc of my relationship with my sister from childhood to middle age when our relationship irrevocably fell apart. My longest most complex story arc yet.

I haven't yet invested much in my marketing/social media profile, but to my 21 followers, mostly from content starter packs, if I'm doing a podcast that is short story based, do I include past exposition each time assuming someone may be listening to this short story, but not the prior ones?
