making a texture replacer for vanilla quake doors, never was a huge fan of the shape on them so i tried to break it up while keeping compatibility with existing maps

March 8th is my birthday! In the week following up to that date, I will be doing longer streams, starting with my first playthrough of Bloodborne before switching over to coop games. Next Sunday will end with an all day session of Unreal Tournament 2004. See you there!

Progress on my Quake Sewer Jam 3 map.
These models were hand sculpted in blender and then converted to brushes with OBJ2MAP, 800 faces per model.
Baking is done with combined, so the normals and the lights are baked in the texture.
Can't wait to see what you have cooked for this game! Gameplay and the world looks really interesting. Good luck on the development!

Highly recommend checking out commentated playthroughs of Koren once you are done with QBJ3. Great gameplay and insights to what every map is all about.
This week I made an evil guy in blender.
1074 vertices, 512x512 texture, hand painted.
There definitely were couple powerups that didn't get proper use. Size of the map and how some of those areas are connected sometimes went against what I imagined how the gameplay would fit in. Half of them require routing for sure, went a bit hard with that idea.
